Rewatching Browns vs Saints...

So far, it's cringe worthy.

One example, a couple of mental mistakes on his part did a lot to extend a Browns drive that rightly should have been shut down. That sort of thing hurts, a lot.

Now, to be fair, it was Rob Ryan's 'new look' defense, and it is always true that some players who stink in one scheme thrive in another.

But if I'm being honest, what I'm watching right now doesn't leave me with a lot of warm fuzzies with regard to our reported interest in him.

If something comes of it, he's gonna need a boatload of coaching.

He was on the outside in New Orleans.

There's been a bit of debate as to whether our best option next year is to leave Benwikere on the outside and bring in another nickel or move Bene back to the nickel and find a new outside starter.

Yeah, was wondering how adding a guy like PR would affect Bene. Love how he played last year and its a matter of leaving well enough alone or does putting him in the slot make him that much better. I lean a little more toward the slot because I like him being able to be all over the field since he always seems to find the ball. Could see him cutting under a lot of routes playing in the slot.

Might also be something to stability.

The Saints cycled through a couple different secondary coaches over the past few years. Wilks is good, and has been consistent in his time here.

P-Rob is horrible outside. An absolute disaster. He's never really been able to put it all together mentally. I don't mind him in the slot, but on the edge he's awful.

Also, it should be noted that he's played for 3 DCs. He's sucked with all of them.
