I've been called an idiot all year for my opinion on this so keep calling me one, I don't care.  Please keep thinking that he isn't a problem.

Player A is Al Jefferson

Player B is Bismack Biyombo

(I don't know if you meant to do it but I appreciate that their designations correspond with their names.)

Going forward I would rather have Biz for obvious reasons (younger, cheaper, defense first, etc) but Biz is also a problem, albeit on the offensive end. If he was the answer on that end of the floor, he would be starting and Al Jefferson never would have been signed in the first place. We're four years in and Biz still has difficulty catching entry passes and finishing in traffic.

The issue at center is exacerbated by the rest of the roster. If Biz had Golden State's roster around him where 1-4 could shoot, he could stand under the basket and be the rim protector and rebounder without having to shoulder virtually any offensive responsibility whatsoever. The problem is when you have a 5 of Walker, Henderson, MKG, and Marvin, who is going to score in that lineup? As inefficient as Al Jefferson is, the one (and only) thing he can do is put the ball in the basket on a consistent basis. Al gets 20 a night. Biz might never reach 20 in a single game in his career.

I wish it were as simple as plugging Biz in over Al to fix all of the problems, but when Kemba is cold, Gerald plays like a homeless man's Kobe, MKG is a project and Marvin might go on a hot streak once every five games, there's no easy fix. It's just a poorly built roster that needs a makeover into something that looks like 2015 NBA.

I agree 100%, also meant to add though that the team is 10-4 when Bizz starts

I don't know what games those were exactly but I believe they coincided with Kemba and Gerald going on a tear and shouldering the offensive load. Biz's rebounding and defense helps, obviously, but if Kemba and Gerald are on one of their typical off nights, that record doesn't happen.

    • Oh I was.  But we still had great players.
    • You keep AT unless he WANTS to get traded to a contender during the season.  He's valuable, TET, XL, and Coker need to learn how to be PROFESSIONALS on game day, practice, and the off-season.  That's what you get from AT.  ADDITIONALLY, he is clutch.  He is steady.  At is that savvy vet who will always flash. I really think they keep 7 WR's if Brycen can operate on special teams.  Week 1 you may see us heavy on WR and OL because of the massive amount of injuries across the league.  Renfrow may even be cool starting on the PS since he lives close and wouldn't need to uproot his family.  You can still make nearly 400K as a vested veteran on an NFL practice squad.  You see more veterans hanging around since the age limit was lifted. I think the 1st 53 and PS looks like so...... Offense: (25) QB (2) Young / Dalton RB (3) Chuba/Rico/Etienee WR (7) T-Mac/XL/AT/Coaker/Renfrow/JHjr/Brycen TE (3) Tremble/Sanders/Evans OL (10) Icky/Lewis/Corbett/Hunt/Moten/Brady/Mayes/Yosh/Zavala/Kingston Defense: (25) DL: (6) Brown/Robinson/Turk/Bobby B/Cam Jackson/Sam Roberts OLB: (5) Wonnom/PJ2/NicSic/Princely/Incoon ILB: (5) Rozeboom/TW/Windmon/Cherelus/Bam CB: (5) Horn/MJ/CSW/Thorton/Evans S: (4) Tre'Mo/Ransom/Demani/Scott Specialists: (3) JJ/Fitz/Martin Last spot: Right now I have it as a toss up between DJ Johnson and Bam.  Until NicSic can come back we need an extra edge.  Do we utilize TW more as a blitzer from the middle to keep Bam safe?  I'm not worried about DJJ getting picked up from another team, a little more concerned with Bam. Practice Squad: DavidMoore/JamesMitchell/JacolbyGeorge/Tuttle/Crumdley/Ray/DJJohnson/Kantra/Carter/Blacksheer/ Wright/KrysBarnes/MichaelReid/Safety pick up/RB pick up/QB pick up
