"Best player" is a matter of personal opinion.

"Championships" are won on the court and a fact.

People place votes for the MVP and award it to an individual.

Championships are earned by winning games on the court.

I'm not diminishing anything Curry is doing. Just stating that calling him a "perennial winner" is absurd when he, in fact, hasn't won anything yet.

No it's fact that curry was the best player this year. Backed up by stats and that he won the voting that proved he was the best. He won that award by what he did on the court not just because people thought it so. Are you trying to say curry didn't earn the MVP?

Curry can get a max contract anywhere whoopdeedoo

 

If he wants to play in Charlotte when he is done in GS he will I'm sure he wants to win the championship this year and most likely will so he can leave GS with a nice gift, but he's going to want to do something special for Charlotte so yeah

 

You best believe he is coming to Charlotte when his contract in GS is up in 2 years

That's still an opinion. There is no concrete factual evidence to support any claim that any given athlete is the best at their sport.

A champion is a fact.

Wins, stats, etc are concrete. He was the best player on his team. On the best team In the NBA. Those aren't opinions. That's quantifiable. Are you intentionally being this dense or?

Leave a team full on all stars and that is built to win (or at least compete) for multiple championships for a team that has Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker? okay then

MKG & Vonleh will be the centerpiece of CLT in 2017.

Jefferson will be long gone & Kemba will either be gone or the 3rd best player.

MKG/Vonleh has much more potential than Thompson/Green from 2017-beyond.

MKG could very well be the best defensive player in the NBA by 2017. Vonleh could be developing into Chris Bosh 2.0.

That said, Curry isn't coming to Charlotte. No star is going to voluntarily go to that dumpsterfire.

 

I don't think the Hornets are gonna be bad, but I can't see Curry leaving a great situation with only one (at most) championship under his belt. This is his prime, and he could get multiple rings. Not many players would pass that opportunity up, especially when he is gonna get max $$$ in GS

Players like Curry can turn a trash franchise into Friday Night NBA Special on ESPN 3 times a month, and a few ESPN Wednesday night games ... per month

 

Curry alone has the ability to do that to the Charlotte Hornets, then add 3 more drafts before his contract in GS is up a long with the young talent we already have like MKG, Vonleh and you have yourself a championship caliber squad you are a nimrod if you don't think theres at least a good chance it happens

 

And again, after the Vikings loss this year I was crucified for saying we'd win out and win the division

Curry, Cam, Jordan, all in the same city ... Charlotte is going to be a hallowed ground

There's a lot of variables that need to go our way for curry to have his homecoming. I hope it breaks that we so we can have our parades and really show the country Carolina sports but it's definitely not a foregone conclusion curry ends up here
