Olsen shares his feels on Cam

Via ESPN, Greg Olsen shares his deep thoughts on playing with Cam.

“I said, ‘Hey, man. All joking aside it seems like hopefully you’re going to be the last quarterback I ever play with,’ ’’

“I’m happy to be able to say that. I’ve really enjoyed my four years with him. They’ve been the best four years of my career. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.’’

"I’ve gotten better, but I also think playing with him has been great for my career kind of growing along with him,’’ said Olsen, who made his first Pro Bowl last season after catching a career-high 83 passes for 1,008 yards.

Olsen is signed through 2018; might he re-up after that deal?

“How many years did he sign for?’’ Olsen asked. “We’ll take it one year at a time, but hopefully I can play my whole career here and finish up with him. That would be the goal.’’

Nice little fluff piece by David Newton, who is still trying to figure out the difference between the right side and left side of the defensive line.

We should all take a moment to realize how fortunate we are to have a such a weapon and generally awesome human being on this team.

Cheers Greg.

    • Who were we going to trade up with? The Dolphins wanted Proctor, the Rams were vehement on taking Ty Simpson, the Ravens wanted Ioane, and the Bucs werent trading with us except for maybe a kings ransom. Even if we wanted to move, we had no partner. Moot point.
    • Devin Lloyd is a stud lb but who is next to him? Prince and Nic should improve. Lee was super value but i am not counting this fourth round chicken yet. I would expect some improvement; hope to eat my words w/ a top ten D.
    • I mean I agree about diminished Cam probably still being viable. Even though it gave a preview of how teams would defend the pass against a limited QB. There was an issue with the upcoming contract he was due to get and his expectations vs the new reality of his physical status - that people tend to  overlook when looking back on it  It had an effect on things I believe   But I do have to ask… what about Tepper’s second major move? fuging clueless   I mean I would take even an injured  Cam over Bryce all day long.
