Will the college student be deemed ineligible because of this? Or is that only for student athletes?

Student athletes already get a completely free education so that was a fail.

Lol. Not all student athletes get a completely free education guy. 

Besides that, the point is, if they take a free cheeseburger from someone because they play football for _________ University, it's a problem.

Very cool. It's not a ton of money, but he's not obligated to do anything. Awesome to see these guys give back.

Yes. He could've simply sent the dude a PM and got his info and nobody would've ever known. But why do that when you can do it publicly on social media and get hero praise?

Doing it privately without anyone ever knowing would've been a gesture. Doing it publicly is called a publicity stunt.

While the Red Cross certainly isn't without its share of issues, I don't think you can say everything they do is a publicity stunt just because it takes place in the public eye. Same with wounded soldier initiatives, etc. Now maybe the intent is more pure if he'd done it privately, but still barely diminishes the act, at least in my mind.

      Why would we not be contenders? As long as Bryce plays like he did when he came back, we absolutely can be contenders...that is...   if the defense plays better... which is why adding someone like Ramsey when we have a QB on a rookie deal and can afford it makes sense IMO. No one thought of the Commanders being contenders last year or the Texans the year before and so on and so forth. Top-end QB play, especially for a guy on a rookie deal, changes everything in terms of timelines. Regardless of what this board thinks, I hope the front office is willing to he aggressive in thks window we currently have with a rookie QB deal

      Would absolutely love to have him. I dont think he would require more than a 5th rounder. The biggest thing with his contract is the amount of guaranteed money. As long as they can work out and scenario where the Panthers aren't on the hook for a lot of that, I think it's a no-brainer. The Panthers can come up with $20M at the drop of a hat with restructuring Moton's contract, so there definitely isn't an issue from a money perspective. Jaycee paired with Ramsey along with Mike Jack would give us one of the best CB groups in the league. The one caveat I see is that safety still remains our biggest current weakness. We need a starting caliber S more than CB, simply put. But adding someone like Ramsey would be amazing as long as the compensation made sense. Ramsey could also play for FS snaps also. I also dont understand this nonsense about being seasons away. We have a QB on a rookie deal who was playing at an elite level to end last season. Within reason, now is absolutely the time to make moves like trading for Ramsey.

      He'd be a huge upgrade for this year, but we're still not going to be contenders with him and I'd rather keep the cap space to roll into next season to spend on a younger player who can be an impact starter for us for the next 3-5 years while we're hoping to contend.
