Jeffrey Taylor to play overseas

Sucks he had that achilles injury, really put him behind the 8 ball.

He was never that good. He'll probably be happier overseas, though. He's still gonna make great money and he'll actually get to play. Also gets to experience other places around the world. It baffles me that more guys who are buried on a bench or fighting to make a team don't just go overseas. I would in a heartbeat. I'd also go play a year or two overseas and make 6 figures versus making nothing and having to sit in classrooms at a college.

His contract was near 2 year 600k. He would make more money buried on the bench. Some players are just about money and not playing time.

$300k a year is a lot of money.

Was going to say, I'd gladly take $300,000 a year. That's comfortable living.

You make more buried on the bench. Yes it's still good money but wouldn't you want 500k minimum

Overseas contracts are guaranteed and either tax free or close to it. Fringe NBA contracts are non guaranteed and taxed out the ass. You can play much longer overseas, and if you play well you'll get more money. You have a very limited career as a NBA bench player. Those guys are either 19-22yo development guys or 35yo that were rotational guys in their youth and are now a veteran presence. Guys don't just ride the end of a bench for 10-15 years. Taylor probably didn't have any NBA contract offers.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
    • His daughter's initials are CAM.  Coincidence? I think not
