I'm confused about the Ealy love and Alexander hate. I didn't watch the game on Saturday until late, but from what I heard Ealy was god awful and Alexander was just a ghost. Is this a mind game or what?

I read somewhere today - I think BBR - I'll look for the link in a second, that Rivera was unusually blunt with Ealy about his performance.  I doubt his practicing with the 1s is a reward, probably just a necessity.  I don't know what the deal is with why Frank is in the doghouse.  Rivera seems like he was mad with the whole DLine, especially the 1s.

Here's the article at BBR.  See what you make of it.  I'm not a Dline expert by any stretch of the imagination.  There was also a press conference with Alexander & Ealy earlier today.  Check at Panthers.com for highlights probably.

So undrafted rookie Arthur Miley opened as first team RDE today for Panthers. (Yes, I had to look up his name on the roster).

Arthur Miley and Kony Ealy began day as first team #Panthers DE as Charles Johnson continues to rehab calf. Not Rakim Cox @tomsorensen

you can't just let healthy guys walk out of the door in the football business. Without CJ the DE situation on this team is in shambles. Nobody has "flashed" anything that I can see and the Bills QB's had their way, no pressure.

Nice over the shoulder grab by Corey Brown on deep ball from Anderson. Way to track it. Against Bene #PanthersTC

Corey Brown having a good day. Just made an impressive over the shoulder catch vs. Bene. Tracked it well and made the play.

It doesn't look good right now

Then no word on Star which to me is a very bad sign and KK just now getting back

I think KK may have been back right before they went to Bills but they didn't want to risk him?  I could be wrong.  And we were always told they'd re-evaluate Star in something like 2 - 3 weeks,  I thought?  So... no news is not *necessarily* bad in his case.

But obviously, our D-Line depth is a bit shallower than many of us had thought.

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
