Some highlights:

Where is NFL Media?

Since their inception in 1995, the Panthers have held camp at scenic Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina -- where owner Jerry Richardson played college ball in the 1950s. Lowe's recently became a major sponsor, and they've made the space very fan-friendly, adding patio furniture and landscaping to the observation area.

Observations

1) The Panthers spent a lot of time working on the passing attack in Monday's practice. Cam Newton -- who didn't get off to a great start in Friday's preseason matchup with the Bills, completing just one of his first six attempts -- showed very good accuracy in the passing drills. Offensive coordinator Mike Shula put Newton and backups Derek Anderson -- as good a backup quarterback as anyone -- and Joe Webb -- an athletic guy with a big arm -- through about 15 minutes of footwork drills after practice.

New additions

Michael Oher, LT: The Panthers do an excellent job teaching fundamentals. The seventh-year pro, coming off a disappointing season in Tennessee that led to him being waived in February, looked pretty good starting at left tackle against Bills pass-rushing dynamo Jerry Hughes last week.

    • I had everything saved on an old email address and my computer crashed and could not be revived.  I tried reviving it, then stumbled on one I was going to create several years ago...So I am using it instead.  My fault--did not keep the email and forgot password--
    • Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.is what i am actually referring to in that particular post  all those #'s you are referring to are athletic #'s & Monroe Freeling had or has an impressive combination of size & raw athletiscm & it has nothing do with his size or athelticsm that is preventing him from being a day 1 starter in the NFL technique is where he struggled at the NFL combine & not only scouts but analysts alike also viewed him as more of a developmental type of player rather than a day 1 starter  go take a look at Will Campbell transition from the SEC to the NFL another first round LT that was drafted #4 overall by the New England Patriot,s.Will Campbell was a three year starter at  LSU & was thought to be one of if not the very best LT's in the SEC  & compare his SEC carrer to his rookie season in the NFL? just because you played good in the SEC at LT does nescarrily mean you are ready to start at LT in the NFL day 1 & or your rookie season  & one last thing i think you are jumping to conclusion & somehow assuming that i do not like Monroe Freeling ?which could not be further from the truth .what i do not like is the idea starting a player who is not ready ...just saying
    • I'd 10x rather play the NFC North than NFC West.
