Did you watch his performance other than that one play?

Was his performance in that one play in any way unique and not capable of being performed by other younger players with a brighter future?

Yes, I did & he wasn't any worse than any other RB but did score a td. As for your 2nd question, we will never know. Hindsight is 20/20 so I never use it & wishing & guessing never gets a td or wins a football game. Tolbert did, at least, get a td. Hard facts do matter.

You must not have watched his blocking, which is an EXTREMELY important facet of being a running back

Because if you did watch his blocking, you would have noticed that he failed at it.  Frequently and regularly.

Let me repeat myself. I did not see anyone out of our backfield do anything better than any of the others out of our backfield & that includes blocking. Except Tolbert's td. They all failed frequently and regularly. Meh.

So we should just agree to disagree. Over a preseason game no less lol.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
