From "breesgirl" on Saints Report...

Wow Jimmy! So, I guess you felt so blessed to leave the team that made you an All-Pro, Multiple time Pro Bowler, and highest paid TE in history. Some jerk organization the Saints are. The organization that drafted you, mostly hid all of your deficiencies, and turned you into a true football player is the one you're now dragging through the mud?

I rooted for you, and never wanted you to leave. I didn't want to buy into the "Jimmy must have been a locker room cancer in '14." and the, "He turned into a diva." chatter. But I see that you are everything the swelling whispers claimed.

Thank you for opening your mouth and using you tough Twitter fingers to wake me up from my delusions. I just wish you would have been a man and kept the tweet posted. But I realize that not only are you soft on the field, you're even softer in reality. Thanks tough guy.

And this from "GumboYaYa"...

I see Seattle has brought out this wanna be gingers **** talking punk side. It's not the saints fault you weren't tougher than a Disney princess, Jimmy. It's not the Saints fault you couldn't even catch a cold your last season because you were so scared about getting hit. Keep that lame **** to yourself you has been and worry about the implosion your team is about to head into.

This has been a public service announcement.

Disappointing, to say the least. Really makes me wonder how bad things have gotten in the locker room and if Payton has lost this team.

I feel like I've watched Rome burn since 2012. Oh well. All I can do now is hope.

This was on Saints Report:

He's the 4th former player to have said something like this lately, either sour grapes or "where there is smoke..."

Is that true?  If so, who are the others?

ouch...Saints might actually cheer for us v SEA? Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Here's more...

We watched him act like a ***** on the field for years, are we surprised that he'd act like a ***** on twitter?

Just two days ago I said I was happy to see Jimmy succeed.

I changed my mind. I hope he doesn't see another target for the rest of his career.

Why didn't he say "feeling like a coward this morning?"

Yeah, I'd say they're not too happy with him.

From what I've been snooping on the internet the Saints coaching staff is really beating up on the players for every little tiny mistake they make on the field. However Brees, and a few other players, are being coddled and not picked apart. This is leading to many players feeling resentment toward the coaching staff. Payton's justification is that the Saints have a low margin of error due to the talent level of the team. The locker room is full of unhappy and resentful players, with the exception of Brees and a few others. I knew this would be the year the Saints finally imploded. Brees is in the twilight of his career, and that means below average Saints teams until they find a new QB.

    • Just another 1st round QB that never paid off for the team that drafted them or traded for them. It's been like this since the SB began. 36 QBs have now won the SB & only 13 of them have been 1st rounders winning with their original team. Namath 1968, Griese 1972, Bradshaw 1974, McMahon 1985, Simms 1986, Aikman 1992, Elway 1997, Roethlisberger 2005, P.Manning 2006, E.Manning 2007, Rodgers 2010, Flacco 2012, & Mahomes 2019. Only 3 have taken longer than 5 seasons as the starter to win a SB.  4  6  5  4  6  4  15  2  9  4  3  5  2 [the years it takes for these 1st round QBs] 5  1  4  1  3  1  1  2  3  4  [10 of the 36 have won a chip with their 1st team that haven't been drafted in the 1st round. These are the years it took them as a starter] What stands out? Only 2 of these QBs have lost their first championship appearance. Elway took 4 years as a 1st rounder & Hurts took 2 years as a 2nd rounder. Of the 10 non-1st round QBs, 2 are 2nd rounders, 3 are 3rd rounders, 5 are 6th rounders or later. Please stop wasting time on drafting 1st round QBs with such a high failure rate. The remaining 13 QBs are traded or free agent signings. Stafford, Favre, Young, Williams and Dawson are the 5 trades. Peyton Manning & Tom Brady also won for teams as free agents on a short stay as well as being drafted. The lesson here is don't waste your franchise on farming up 1st rounders for the league, and steer clear of trading for a franchise QB. Stick to finding that championship QB by drafting them outside of the 1st round or through free agency.
    • I lost most of the respect I had for Fox in 2010. He should have resigned if he hated the job that much. Instead he stuck for his paycheck and let stuff go to hell.    I burned out on Ron too but my deal breaker issue with him was away from football and after he was gone from the Panthers. He may have been out of his depth but never quit on us.
    • From where they were one year ago to now, pretty incredible. I mean, say what you want about Vrabel he is no Jerrod Mayo.
