Panthers the model franchise for the NFL????

It is the way we are managing the cap.  Keeping those players that make us good.  Over the past 3 years their has been a ton of bitching and moaning about us not going out and signing this free agent or that free agent.  Gettleman has a plan and now three years in we are starting to bear fruit.  We have an amazing core of players and a bunch of young ones that will take the place of the vets.  We (DG) keep our eyes open for players and deals that make us better without breaking the plan.  Remmer, Delaire and Allen as examples.  

I think we are a model of how to manage the Cap while retaining your core players.  Obviously winning a Super Bowl is a confirmation of the model but regardless doing it this way is the model.   Much better than the Hurney way.

How was Gettleman widely panned? After Hurney I think we were willing to give anyone a chance.

I don't think he meant by Panther fans.

Gettleman, just wasn't the sexy pic. So I think Breer took that and ran with it.

He's a good reporter. And he's done excellent, and revealing articles on the Panthers, and Cam in the past (one of the few in the National Media).

It's true. Breer isn't as well known as others but he's a good writer.
