You can make a reasonable forecast given our team's current situation along with that of our opponents for the rest of the year. Barring utter catastrophe, we will be favored in every game for the rest of the year. This is how a logical person can make the not-ridiculous leap to claim that a 16-0 season is possible.

People make a living do so. They are called sports analysts.

How can a grown ass man not understand this concept? I am at a complete loss. I can't believe I have to explain it.

Perhaps your mistake was the assumption you are arguing with a grown ass man?

Well now the panthers have a huge ass target on them since we're the only undefeated team left. I can imagine those other NFC South teams getting amped and play us hard just to knock the panthers off their undefeated status. Hope the players don't get distracted by the inevitable horde of media attention coming for the rest of the season.

I thought this was funny quote from our good old David Newton

Panthers' playoff picture is pristine

car.png&w=110&h=110A whole lot of defense and just a dab of offense helped the Panthers roll over the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. Carolina is cruising with a favorable schedule the rest of the way and an eye on j̶o̶i̶n̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶P̶a̶t̶r̶i̶o̶t̶s̶   (Being the only team that has ;D)  a perfect 16-0 regular season.

doesn't sound so silly. i mean what's so bad about it? i'm calling this the beginning of a dynasty. does that bother you? i've got confidence in what this team can do. don't you?

we're quite possibly going to at least 16-0 and we aren't at full strength. next year we get KB back and it looks like we'll have pretty much everyone back , plus we have another offseason with gettleman dealing with FA and the draft.

there's no reason we can't do this again next year. we'll be better.

The don has this ship sailing straight for a while.  As long as we can restock talent faster than we lose guys to FA, we will be annual contenders until Luke and Cam retire.

Well if we do end up winning out through the super bowl, prepare for everyone and their mom going to accuse you of being a bandwagoner automatically.

Nah all you have to do is talk about the 2010 season and you're golden. Or start firing off minute details from panther games in the mid 90s.

if we can make it pass NY, i think we got it........Falcons suck but also could put the perfect reg. season in jeporady

the thing you have to ask yourself is which one of the teams left on our schedule will pull a fake punt, onside kick or any other trick play just to get over on us, that's the part that worries me.

either that or the emotional letdown of losing a game after 3 months of winning may cause me to have extreme liver failure

Tbh after 20 years of being a fan the concept of going 16-0 feels weird. It might be that I'm used to disappointment or that the beating by AZ is still in my mind, but I can't let myself dream of a 19-0. It sucks but it comes with the territory.

I can't take us playing arizona in the playoffs again. No. Even if its a totally different team on both ends. Just won't be able to emotionally take it if we lose.

I was at that game *shudder*. Until then I didn't realize that you could lose a game so bad that it can tank the entire following season.

That's how I feel about Seattle, like we just beat them, losing against them again would be cruel.

Uh yes, and pretty comfortably I might add.

People see the "6" in the Atlanta wins column and don't realize how bad they are.  Their offense has becoming one dimensional and ineffective.  Their defense is once again bad.  They turn the ball over more than any team in the league; we take away the ball over more than any team in the league.  The matchup is undeniable.  This will be two routes with games over by halftime.

The Saints are finished; Peyton/Brees era is coming to a close.  The worst defense in the NFL by a decent margin.  An anemic offense now too.  There's too much of a talent gap for us to lose this given how disciplined we are.

The Giants.  Probably our best chance at losing a game.  But If the Saints are the worst defense, the Giants are probably right behind them.  Eli is throwing picks these days like he's his older brother, and their O-line can't block a kitten right now, let alone our guys.  That Washington team we spanked last week just made them look silly.  Watch out for that nasty 4th quarter defensive letdown to rear it's ugly head, though, the only thing that can derail us.

Bucs.  Are we going to rest starters?  If not, these guys aren't gonna let 16-0 be snatched away
