How does Rodney Peete Feels?

I was just thinking about him and wondered. How do you think he feels about how Fox sticks with Jake throught a slump? But took him out in the middle of the 1st game. Never too see the Field again.

I tried too come up with reasons How Fox could explain his undying Loyalty too Jake but had the quick axe for Peete.

1. They both were Fox guys.

Peete was brought in by Fox too help stabalize the offence after a 1-15 season. He was a QB that wouldn't throw up big Numbers but manage the game.

Jake was a FA brought by Fox too do the same thing. So this reason holds no weight.

2. Better Option at the back-up Spot. I thought this might be a good reason but as I dug a little bit. This wasn't a good reason either.

Peete Back-ups were

Jake = little nfl game Expierence and only TC and Preseason in the Offensive System

Wenkie = Not a Fox Guy and went 1-15 2 season before so he might still be shell shocked.

Jake Back-ups are

Josh Mccown = Has Nfl exp. as a starter was in the system for a 1 1/2 years.

Matt Moore = 3 years in the system and the same game Exp. as Jake had when he replaced Peete.

3. Diffrent situtation. This could be true but think about it.

Were Down 17 to the Jags in the 1st game of the season. Peete hadn't made a TO he just couldn't get the Offence moving down field. Then Jake was put in and you know the rest.

We are down 21 Jake has 11 TO in his last 2 games as a starter then Fox finally pulls him for the Back-up which didn't really matter at that point.

So my ? is still what do you think Peete would say about the Panthers situtiation? I think he is still in the media and I know he still follows football.

What makes you decide which words to capitalize?

The simple answer is Fox and the rest of the coaches based their opinion on what they had seen in practice everyday, on film from practice (which is reviewed daily) as well as the preseason games. And they saw a lot more of Jake than we did as fans via those means.

Same goes for the QB's now... they know who gives us the best chance to win and thus that's why there are where they are on the depth chart.

    • Porter Martone is going to be a great player.  Hard to believe how little NHL experience he had going into the playoffs.
    • A sweep is a sweep but I can’t say the Flyers are a team to hang your hat on sweeping. The fact two of the games went to OT means this series could easily be 2-2 right now with wildly different vibes. I think given how many ECF losses they have, Brindamour needs to go HAM on this team with the long layoff until the next game.
    • A side note I liked watching this Flyers team. A few years ago I remember people saying the Devils were the up and coming team in the east when the Canes swept them. I didn’t see it. I didn’t see hard play, high effort, doing the dirty work. This Flyers team had all that. The Canes are just way more experienced and talented. And the Flyers hung with them taking it to OT twice for a series the Flyers had no business being in. I can see them becoming a perennial contender as their young core grows. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a rematch next year.
