Tales from the stadium

Friend of mine works with a lot of the stadium people but attends the games as a fan, except for this last one. Here are some of her observations about visiting Eagles fans...too funny...

"I was asked to work in the 'holding cell' at the game. Every time they'd bring someone in to be arrested or ejected, all I kept hearing was "Why can't I do it?? "We can do it in Philly." "We can do it it Philly." "We can do it in Philly." I heard it countless times.

At the beginning of the fourth quarter, one of the cops brought a guy in, his face painted a bright green and white, and as he was walking by me, the cop glanced at me and said, "Put this down as 'Indecent Exposure and Public Urination' and yeah, we know ---- you can do it in Philly!" Sure enough, that's what he did. This guy (from some town called Washington, PA) exposed himself, which of course disgusted the fans in front of him, so he sprayed them.

They brought in two women who were fighting over one man, and I'm no prude, and I'm pretty old, but I've never heard such insults about body parts in my life. Then, in fury, they started yelling their comparisons about the guy, and what he could and couldn't do, and I was never so glad to see the cop intervene.

A couple was brought in after the wife decided she wanted to have a cigarette in her seat. When the husband told her she couldn't smoke in that part of the stadium, one word led to another, and she slapped him. He hit her back (her nose) and they started a real fight, falling over onto the people in front of them. As they were being taken out, the wife shouted, "Hey, idiot -remember last night? That was my last time in your bed." He smiled and yelled, "AAH!! I KNEW something good was going to happen at this game !" True love. Can't beat it.

Yes, but what are you are withholding is all of the panthers fans that were escorted out. I counted 4 in just my section. One for throwing beer bottles and another for smoking, and a kid for underage drinking. It happens both ways.
you're delusional. panther fans don't get escorted out.

ever.

ask anyone around here. it never happens. you must have been tripping.

next thing you'll be saying is that someone got escorted out for standing up and cheering too much.

Um no, you ask anyone who was in section 508,509,and 510. Where you even at the game? Or where you watching it in your trailer park in spartanburg?

    • It's not sustainable,  although he deserve credit for the win also, as he made clutch plays as he does with every win we have.
    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
