We are in an absolute perfect spot for a trade down. If be in favor of trading our 30th pick for an additional 2nd and 4th.

Talent wise there is not much of a drop off from where we are to the mid forty's.

Here is the problem though (something we haven't had in a LOOOOOONG time), but the question is how much talent are we cutting from our current roster to obtain those picks.  For so long, we needed competent players on the roster that trading down helped, but now, if we trade down we potentially have to either cut good depth on our team or waste a draft pick that we won't even attempt to develop.  I think we feel confident in all of our picks (aside from maybe Mayo) from last year (and he's purely depth, so it's not a huge hit), so, I think we're more likely to trade up than down because of the roster spots available.  I personally think we could end up with a draft like last year, 4 or 5 picks, a couple of trade ups for specific players that Getts loves in our system and more than likely one or 2 players that we all wonder "WTF" but after next season go "man that dude is a beast!".

I agree...I think we will trade up in the 1st or 2nd round depending on how the draft goes. If Dobb or a tackle that DG rates high is available at pick 20-25 I can see DG moving up. Or moving up in the 2nd to get a tackle or DE. The team doesn't need that many picks, DG hits on the UDFA market so well its like he has more picks anyway.
