Checking Spotrac, Jared Allen's retirement puts us at about 28 million under the cap, with more quite possibly to come.

This could be one of the most interesting offseasons in a while.

 

I do believe this is the main thing most of us are looking forward to this off-season. How does Gman handle having some money to play with? If you ain't excited about how this is going to play out?

 

My only real concerns are Josh and CJ. IMO, we need to figure out how to keep Josh. And I think it would behoove us to also find a way to keep CJ with a reasonable price. Other than that, we are sitting pretty goodly. We really aren't going to lose anyone who would hurt.

 

Sure we could sign KK, Star, or some others. But it is not a necessity this year. Keep the core. Draft well. And the future remains rather bright.

I hope they extend CJ, rework the last year of the deal and try and keep him for a few more years
