RG3 in Carolina?

He can't even take a hit or learn how to slide.

Got your point, and yes he's fragile, but I definitely wouldn't put the ability to slide too high on my list given that, honestly, our quarterback doesn't do it very well either.

Newton, however, can take a hit, probably better than most Qbs and worlds better than RG3.

That's your opinion, just like I have an opposite opinion.  No the Skins didn't want that but the former and current head coaches did want that and they accomplished the crashing.  Robert hasn't burned though.  The 60s was a great decade.  You'll have to own that KKK comment as you must be knowledgeable as to their thoughts and doings.  If you think anybody handed Robert ANYTHING, you're under the rock.  Stay there if you like.

So its the coaches fault now. You might as well blame Kirk Cousins next. Im not even American, the rest of the world is well aware of what the KKK stand for, and its not good. 1st round picks constantly get handed starting opportunities, wake the hell up man.

Sir, I'm not blaming anyone for anything.  I am simply stating my opinion which is based on my own observations.  As I said, the KKK is your thing and I'm not mad with you about that.  True 1st rounders are handed opportunities, however, Robert was not handed ANYTHING.  I'm wide awake but I'll keep quite so you can sleep.

I guess in a pinch he could run the style of offense that we run with Cam under center whereas with Derek Anderson we may have to make some changes, but I don't really see signing RGIII as worthwhile. We are comfortable with Derek Anderson and Joe Webb as our backup QBs. And for RGIII, I don't see why he would come here because there's no chance of him starting for us outside of injury. I think he will want to go somewhere he can compete for the starting role this coming season (eg Broncos, Browns or Jets), or at worst, sit behind a veteran QB for a few seasons and takeover the starting job (eg. Dallas and Romo, New England and Brady, New Orleans and Brees etc). Coming here would simply signal he has no desire to compete for a starting position or ultimately takeover one, and instead that he is happy to ride a bench and hold a clip board.

    • Only thing I really see it doing is possibly making Tepper listen if a different play caller can't run the offense because of limitations. New hire, someone who hasn't been watching Bryce for the past 3 years up close may be able to talk some sense if he sees that he isn't able to get the job done.

    • Not sure there is anything that will do that outside of Young actually being a legit top 12 QB. Where he won’t need excuses made for him.  It is just as likely to multiply them.
