please, come off the ledge.

Reminder that Goobypls was one of the most outspoken people about how Gettleman is an idiot for not trading for a WR after Kelvin got hurt and we can't win without him.

He has a vacation home built on that ledge.

Josh got extremely greedy.

Gettleman doesn't bend to one player.

So sick of this response.you have absolutely no idea what josh asked for. None. Zilch. Nada. You don't know poo. The only known is the tag wasn't signed.  We can assume because he wanted more years and total money. But nobody knows, we also don't know what g man offered.

Multiple sources say he was asking around 16mil. Iirc we offered around 11-12mil.

No, we do know. So you can stop with this angle. Josh rejected Dave's 12m. He wanted QB money. 16m was apparently the magic number. Plus according to team and league sources, Gettleman and Norman's agent weren't close in terms of numbers. So, the number might actually be higher.

Move along now.

So you're blasting him for wanting more than 12? He definitely deserves more than 12.

Besides that number my statement stands true. You don't know anything. Bunch of worthless he said she said info.

K dude. Covering your eyes SNF screaming "Nope, no, nu-uh" doesn't make it less true.

Josh has every right to ask for that much money but no one is gonna give it to him.

If 16 is what he wants I guarantee he gets it it. But I don't believe that's his number.

Take it and possibly win a ring, or go get paid but possibly never go to the playoffs again. I don't him for wanting to get paid but:

1.) 1.5 years of work isn't enough to warrant that high of a demand, especially when he's about to turn 29.

2.) He's played with a great supporting cast in Kuechly, Cam, Davis, Short, Stewart, Ealy, Kalil, Johnson, Shaq, Star, Turner, etc. If he couldn't see that then he was a greedy, egotistical moron. He had it good here.

Nope. The number is 16m. It's right there in front of you dingbat. Reading comprehension iis your friend.

Please show me where he said he needs 16 to sign. I'll wait.

Go dig for the articles. I ain't your momma. If you want to be in denial then go to that corner over there with Prou and whine/cry. The rest of us, however, have long accepted the cold reality and moved on.

That's a mouse hunt because it doesn't exist. I'm fine with him leaving, it severely hurts us but our staff will manage. Just sick of the bs about how this was Normans greed when you have no idea what he was or wasn't offered 10-12 mil per year isn't enough for that caliber corner.

Seeing as how funerals are for deaths and our roster is full of talent

I'm not seeing a reason to put on a black suit when we're still full of life.

The clown trying to make jokes, yeah I'm pretty sure you would be one those making excuses for Gettleman if he were to trade Cam. Prime example one right here

Short term memory seems to runs rampant in this forum, go watch the the first half 2014 season if you think losing Norman won't hurt. But yeah rainbows, lollipops and everything nice

Your reading is amazing. Spot on. A fugin' plus.

I've already said, multiple times (once in this thread, and plenty of times in others) that losing Josh hurts. There is no one that we can sign or draft this year that will replace the talent and presence he brought last year, or would bring (if he was happy) this year.

But one CB, espically by a team that runs heavy zone coverage, isn't going to break us. We still have Cam, Luke, TD, Short, Olsen, KB, Stew, Early, Star, not to mention Bene and Boykin...yeah man let me mourn the 2016-17 Panthers I'll buy the casket and start prepping the wake.

And yeah no its not like I haven't questioned Gettleman before in the past (cutting Smitty) and it's not like I haven't recently said I'd question one of his possible future moves (Drafting Derrick Henry in the 1st) I'M JUST ONE OF THOSE DADGUM GETTLEMAN DICK SUCKERS THAT BLINDLY TRUSTS HIM MMMMM YEAH GETTLEMAN TRADE CAM TRADE LUKE CUM ON MY FACE JUST LIKE THAT

Your everyone is wrong but me reactions have grown tiresome as the are based on constant self-sustained ignorance. It's tiring. You're tiring. Your act is played out.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
