Article: Carolina Panthers Four Deepest Positions

by deep do they mean lots of players or by deep do they mean quality?

I'm reading it as it's unusual to have 4 RB's (plus a FB) on the active roster.

My opinion: Fozzy is serviceable, nothing to get overly excited about, but a nice change of pace back; CAP and Wegher are still unproven to me, so I can only hope Dave and Ron know what they're doing.

Also, I think that we're deeper at WR than RB.

I disagree with the statement "TE is Greg and some other guys"

We are deep at TE.. maybe more so than RB...

Dickson and Simonson are good... granted we didn't see much of Simonson last year... and Beau Sandland is going to impress.

I think it may be a case of Greg being so good that fueled the statement originally, because you tend to forget about the others behind him when he is so good. But we are currently more deep at TE, one could argue, than most if not all of the other positions listed.

    • And remind y’all that Rico Dowdle ran the ball 7 times on Monday.
    • I didn't want to pay him and they should have traded him before the 20+ million in dead cap. I feel this is another "blame tepper", he wanted a QB and Panthers only had 4 draft picks. CMC got a bad health report and missed games, but league still valued him and he was the best player on the team. Shitttttterererererererer traded him for 4 future picks, the future 2nd ended up being 61st........so all the other draft picks in 5th 4th were next to last, just a mistake. Yes 49ers at the time looked cook, but CMC helped them reach the SB. Used that 2nd and 3rd in the BY and DJ Johnson trades.....just awful returns. It was dirty to wilks to trade CMC while he was trying to make the playoffs, best I member the run game got better after the trade....   Im just one of those "never pay RB, safety, or MLBs" unless cheap/all world. CMC is not all world, but he's dang close.  Poorly handle, he bought a big home and thought he'd remain a career panther....Herniay made him the 16 million man, tops by 4 full million and no RB passed that mark for 2 years, God dam fug you herniay.  Im anti-RB, but about the last thing they should have done was trade a 1000 1000 threat that wanted to stay here, just total fumble by the Panthers/tepper/herniay/fittterererererererere per normal for this time-line.
