Now that Jerry Richardson has another statue, which NFL owners are next?

One sign you've succeeded at life? Not only is a statue raised in your honor but said statue is flanked by a pair of sculptures of bad-ass-looking panthers.

That's exactly how the Carolina Panthers organization honored owner Jerry Richardson recently. Richardson turned 80 on July 11, so the team celebrated the occasion by unveiling a 13-foot statue just steps from the entrance to Bank of America Stadium.

Richardson isn't the first owner with a statue—in fact, a statue had already been raised in his honor at the Panthers' training camp at Wofford College in South Carolina, and statues have been raised in Denver for Pat Bowlen, in Buffalo for Ralph Wilson, in Pittsburgh for Art Rooney and in New Orleans for Tom Benson—but it is rare for living owners to be commemorated in such a way.

If Bowlen and Richardson are indeed setting a trend, here's a ranking of the rest of the owners of NFL teams from most to least likely to have a statue commissioned in their honor.

Here is a list of owners who will probably get a statue next. I only listed the top 10 from the article:

1.) Jerry Jones, Dallas Cowboys

2.) Dan Rooney, Pittsburgh Steelers

3.) Bob McNair, Houston Texans

4) Robert Kraft, New England Patriots

5.) Bill Bidwill, Arizona Cardinals

6.) Paul Allen, Seattle Seahawks

7.) The Davis family, Oakland Raiders

8.) Alex Spanos, San Diego Chargers

9.) Jim Irsay, Indiappolis Colts

10.) The Glazer family, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Which owner do you think will be next?

From that list,I'd definitely say Rooney is the most deserving, I can't work up much interest in a family statue.

I agree that Rooney will be next.

I'm not interested in a family statue either. I think it would look weird to have a family statue in front of a stadium.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
