I wonder what the word is on Cox, Miley and Delaire after our poor DE performance on Thursday night.

Spent a few mins with DE coach Eric Washington. Notable: He’s not nearly as down on Delaire after 1 game as we’d perhaps assume. (1/2)

Delaire was a hot mess in every situation. I mean he got beaten repeatedly. Dude mayas well have had handcuffs on. The rose-colored glasses regarding him are off.

Addison was never as bad.

I am not going to get my hopes up on bad back Cox until I hear something that's decidedly positive. Until then, he is ghost (as they say).

Miley is our only imaginary future impact  end at the moment. Until then our DE depth is comprised of an elite speed rusher and an on-again-off-again place filler.

Edit: Oh, and in case you think I forgot about Ray Drew, well he likely won't be here, or if he is it will be on the PS.

Unless Drew has dropped a lot of weight, I don't see him at DE anyway.

He's listed as a DT on the official Panther's roster and also listed at 315 lbs.  That's a 3-4 DE, but that's also a 4-3 DT.

Uhhh, yes, Addison has been that bad. I suggest you watch him when he first got here. He got his ass spanked several times. Furthermore, he was on Washington's practice squad for a reason. Let's not get selective memory now for the sake of hyperbole.

It's not like there is vid around on Addison, but regardless, he has a speed rush now with the best of them.  When Addison arrived here, I just don't remember him consistently losing containment because of inability to get off the block. The QB wasn't going to run away from Addison. Delaire was getting manhandled. He ended up seriously out of position a few times, and even on the ground a couple of times as I recall (but maybe that was some other lineman with dreads). Nothing went right that I saw, except that one pressure led by Crume (or whatever his name is). Delaire looked like a little brother taking a bullying from his big brother on multiple plays. It was somewhat disconcerting to see a man of that size get beat so easily. That is not hyperbole. It's real.
