I want the next panther super fan to be just a dude in a panther shirt/jersey, wearing blue jeans and just average as all hell looking.

He cheers no harder than anyone else, camera pans to him after a first down, he is sitting in his seat, he nods his head twice, claps three times, let's out a medium "Woo!", and then recrosses his arms in a satisfied fashion. No extreme bravado, no obscene yelling, just calm controlled acceptance.

Then we all treat that guy like he's the friggin messiah of fans, the super fan of all super fans. He becomes the face of panther fandom with his awkward white guy smile

When other people talk about who our super fan is, we say "Without a doubt, it's Dan", and show them a youtube highlight clip of him mildly reacting to plays throughout the season.

When people act like we're crazy, we become indignant and aggressive, thumping our chests and calling them out for daring to question Dan the man super fan's commitment to our team. WE spout out grandious "facts" about Dan and his commitment to the team, each one more absurd than the last, all the while This dude "Dan" is completely oblivious to newfound fame and goes about his life none the wiser.

I just think that'd be hilarious.

You've clearly spent way too much time thinking about this and I'm betting you were laughing inside the whole time you typed this up. It's mildly amusing to me, but bravo, well done.

Took me more time to find the photo than to write it out. I made myself chuckle on the inside and typed out my line of thinking.
