Because it wasnt "scripted" until the biggest game of the year.  They let the players on the field decide up until that point.  Do you recall anyone blaming the refs for our loss to the Falcons?  Hell no...  we poo the bed and lost it ourselves.

But, if you can watch that superbowl and feel like it was a fairly officiated game, then you sir, need to revoke your fandom.

I am always going to pull for and love my panthers, but i'd be lying if I said i wasn't approaching this season much more jaded than ever before.  I want to believe we will be allowed to decide our outcomes on the field, but i know what has happened in the past (see niners 2013 playoff, 2016 superbowl).  It has put a bit of a dampening on my usual child like giddiness for the upcoming season, but i still want to believe and will believe until it's no longer possible.

You're delusional. I have to believe in a conspiracy theory that the NFL is rigged- but only in the Super Bowl- or my fandom is revoked.

What the fug.

Fairly officiated? I don't know, it was pretty poor officiating. My point is, the refs did not decide that football game. Von Miller on Mike Remmers- who was inexplicably left on an island- decided that football game. However, our offensive line got away with absolute murder as far as holding goes. So did theirs, for that matter. It's what happens in playoff games and something I really don't like- they tend to "let them play" which then results in different officiating as opposed to the regular season. There was no conspiracy. Roger Goodell did not call down to the refs and tell them to let the Broncos win.

it doesn't sound stupid. NFLN has the game on right now and its incredible how terrible the officiating was in this game. The cotchery call is the worst call in league history.

What is worse is that the very next play was the one that became the NFL's main form of advertising. "Strip Sack: The Play that Was that Never Should Have Been"

I only said the fandom revoked thing because you said anyone who thought the officials rigged the game needed their fandom revoked.

Von was beasting Remmers, but the officiating changed the entire feel of the game and the way it was played.  That first FF by Von was a direct result of a subjective official call on us, allowing them to pin theirs ears back with no consequence.  You can go back to almost every big, pivotal play in that game that flipped the momentum in Denver's favor and trace it back to officiating.

But, tonight isnt the night to rehash all of that brother.  Tonight we will be victorious!
