Norman/Panthers

Age was a factor. Sherman got his money when he was 25-26. Revis got big money last year at a advanced age it is not paying off.

Who knows the team better than Gettleman? he did what he thought was right for the team.

The reason why gettleman was the right choice for the team is because he's not going to make decisions on emotions.

The players love Norman, he still hangs out with them. Wtf are you talking about???

Age is not a factor when you already tagged him.

Gettleman knows as much as Hurney did, that didn't stop him from being a screw up who got fired.

Did he say it was? I like how you throwing it out there like it its facts

If I recall, just the tag alone he didn't want the cap to be tied up on one player. Lets just stick with that

Norman/Panthers in regards to a long term deal.

As a 1-year deal or reasonable contract not $15M per year

Gettleman is a football guy, Hurney was more of a cap guy. Gettleman kept the same scouting department but he drafts better.

Hurney a cap guy? Gettleman a football guy? Hahahaha

Gettleman is terrible at drafting,at least Hurney drafted some parenial pro bowl players.

Yeah, people here acting like Rivera and his staff had no say about all the off season roster changes.

It's called coaching decision, dumbass.

I don't care how y'all put it, the move that has cost us the most over the off season was rescinding Norman's tag, that was Gettleman's decision. But yeah Rivera's decision of moving Coleman over to the strong side is the real reason why we're 1-5. Gettleman said himself that its HIS job to provide Rivera with the best team that he can, he didn't do that by handing him a high school secondary.

Gettleman worked his way  up as a scout he is a football guy. Look up what Tom Coughlin had to say about how much film he watched.

Hurney was once known for his ability to work the cap. Look at his last 4 drafts then come back.

That's the kind of guy Marty is," said former general manager Bobby Beathard  ... The salary cap was Hurney's specialty

LOL Hurney was the Oprah of GM's...

YOU get a overpriced contract, YOU get an overpaid contract.....

In fact, if he would have been a little better at the cap, we wouldn't be dealing with dollar store dave right now, because he did draft well when he wasn't trading 1st rounders for Everett Brown.

Since we like to edit: He paid Jake Delhomme to play for the Browns
