Bye Week | Secondary

Whatever we do don't trade picks away.

Sanchez is worst than Bene ever was here, and Bene was pretty bad. We're going with the youth movement, and that's truly stunning after making the SB. I'm speechless.

Defense starts with the d-line in our system. You want a DT like Kris Jenkins, and a DE like Peppers when he cared. That pressure from the front 4 protects the zone and allows the DBs to be more aggressive. Pressure might allow Bradberry to develop into our Chis Gamble. A very good zone corner, but not the second coming of Norman. He doesn't move like Norman at all.

The fact that our success on defense depends on pressure up front makes me believe we are going to target Myles Garrett who is Clowney 2.0. He plays basketball like Peppers, and we need him badly. Keep the scrubs out there and he's ours.

Pressure will help but remember Denver vs Seattle they had a good DL  with Miller but they didn't win a SB until they got a top notch secondary

It's sort of a triage situation. We have to try and fix the biggest problem first. I'd use the draft for DE, and turn to FA for DBs. Then in 2018 add a CB to pair with Bradberry, assuming he pans out. Need to keep losing and get our top DE for the next 10 years.

We also need to clean out the bad draft picks, and the people who selected them.

We planned for the future when we drafted three cahnahs last year. You let them get game reps and develop. We need those picks to address other needs; throwing them away for a rental at CB is stupid. The only move that makes sense is Safety and while DG has shown that he is willing to make a move at that position, there isn't much out there.

Semi related: I was really pulling for Boston but he looks like complete dogshit out there. I would have liked to have seen Weddle in blue and black.

First of all who said the CB would be rental they would become an integral part of the defense  just like when trade was made for Olsen. What makes you think this secondary is going to be that much better next year with just 1 yr of experience.

Myles Garrett is my Fav DE prospect but it wouldn't hurt  to build OL like Dallas.

You had me until you suggested starting Williams over Worley, and then subbing out Benjamin and Funchess makes no sense to me as they are both the most talented WRs on the team.

Williams is better than Worley he has speed to catch up if he bites on double move etc. unlike Worley. Far as KB & Devin  goes  I rather have Brown who is better at getting separation  provide mismatch for defenses.
