First coaching scapegoat?

The blame is on all of them.   I think they all misjudged our talent level as well as their coaching ability and schemes.  GM, Coach, and Players all thought we were better.  I swear if our d line was anything like late last year we would be fine right now.  That was the worst miscalculation of all

i dont see why none of you realize the beauty of Getteman's plans. Have a SB team at its core that has been signed long term (Keek, Cam, Olsen, etc.), screw picking at the back of the field every year...tank for an entire season and get to the top of the draft, find 2-3 more STUDS that you can keep for a minimum of 4-5 years on the CHEAP and then go TERRORIZE the NFL. The reason the team looks listless is that they literally aren't trying and don't care.

You just seem to be nitpicking the fact Rivera will do the firing.  Which I agree with.  But Gettlemen will be the cause.  Because the only other option will eventually be Ron falling on the sword or putting it on his boss (if the season continues as is)

Rivera will be the one who fires the coach.   He will fire him because of pressure from Gettlemen.  It ultimately will be Gettlemen that applies the pressure to Rivera.  The pressure will be an explanation for why our Super Bowl team might now be a top 5 draft team.

If it was up to Ron he likely rides all his coaches to the end of the season.  But Ron eventually will be pressured by Gettlemen for a "reason" if the current trend continues.  So Ron like any other HC will be forced to sacrifice someone.

And it will all be BS.  Hence my comment about how Gettlemen would cost someone his job because of Gettlemen's poorly executed offseason.

So UNCFan was basically correct.  You'll say the GM did it regardless of whether there's actually anything to support it.
