I can already see it, Ealy starts racking up sacks the last quarter of the season giving the illusion he's actually worth a damn. Idiots in the huddle will say how we should give him another year and fat Dave won't address the DE position.

I like how you make up a scenario, just to call Huddlerz idiots. Kinda makes your post trifling poo now does it not?

But because I would like to hear your answer. What is the over/under on the sack count for Ealy. If he gets 6+ over the next 10 games, is that enough to keep him? How many does he need to remain a Panther? I sure don't want to be an idiot, so I would appreciate you helping a brother out here.

6? LOL

The only way I would want Ealy back if he racks up 12 sacks by the season ends. I'm not keeping a guy that only plays a quarter of the season and does nothing for 12 weeks. 6 games in and just like last year Ealy hasn't done squat.

So let me see if I have this right? You make up a scenario stating; ("I can already see it, Ealy starts racking up sacks the last quarter of the season giving the illusion he's actually worth a damn. Idiots in the huddle will say how we should give him another year and fat Dave won't address the DE position." ) Just to call your fellow Huddlers idiots.

And then we have to wait 6 more games until the last quarter of the season, waiting on Ealy to start racking up the sacks? Just so we can droll all over him, forcing Dave into giving him another year? Oh the anticipation. (Waits for Jangler to que Carly Simon.)

Does Ealy need to get 12 sacks in just those last 4 games? Or does he still have the remaining 10 games to get those 12 sacks? I mean? Are we rooting for him to get 12 sacks? Or are we rooting against him getting that many? All these questions get me dizzy.

After all, I am just one of those Huddle idiots, so you have to spell it out for me. You don't have to draw me a picture. But I like it when you do. So if you don't mind.

But hey, you are making the rule here, so have at it.

    • Yeah. How he shows up in training camp with a year of NFL training and nutrition will tell us all we need to know.  Side note... how has Bryce still managed not to find the weight room?
    • I hope he finds his lane in year 2.  Now that we signed Walker, I'm really intrigued how Dan feels about the DL. Is there a piece there in R1 that presents value/BPA and fills a void for one of the spots w/ DB and Wharton.  I'll give Wharton another year to show us why he was signed here. With A'Shawn gone, I don't think BBIII is it.  Our edges are set and our LBs are balanced. Horn/Mike Jack and Moehrig will hold the secondary together. DB is, well...DB.  However, I think this is an area that is the biggest question mark right now. I see 1 of 3 spots that are locked and loaded for us. If we move to a 4 down front, I assume Phillips would slide down to be the additional linemen, but we still have questions about the other two spots in either scheme.  I'd feel better with a tradeback, but I do wonder how McDonald would do here. Maybe Woods....but McDonald really does peek my interest.  Or, can Jackson take that next step. The coaching staff speaks highly of him for what little he played. Here's hoping he stays healthy and comes into TC with something to prove. There's a spot to be taken, here's hoping he takes it.
