Official Cardinals at Panthers Gameday Thread...

Cards have a potentially potent offense no doubt. But it isn't as if Julio Jones is going to be walking through that door.

At this point the D is what it is. I'm expecting the OL to at an absolute minimum be serviceable so our offense can score points. If not, heads must roll.

Ha, you know nobody is going to be fired. Come on.

Cards have a legit running game. I am more concerned with that and the inability for the corners to get much help because of it. Cards will gash us on the ground or in the air. Hopefully not both.

Falcons have a great running game. Coleman and Freeman together in that o-line blocking scheme of Shanahan's is every bit as good as David Johnson. And I'd say the Falcons passing game is much better, Julio alone is better than all the Cards receivers combined, and Ryan has played 10x better than Palmer has this year. That being said, the Cards have a defense, the Falcons don't. No idea what will happen either but I have hope.

    • Yeah many NBA players are streaky now. We've had plenty of those here. For Kon it's too early to say but based on what I've seen and his interviews I think if he wants to be really good or great and to get to the highest level he will. Of course that's the story of many of our players over the years. The talent is there. The desire to be great wasn't. We'll see if these new rookie additions have that in them. Hopefully. But it is the Hornets after all. The skepticism is valid. As far as Gordon Hayward. I can say without a doubt that he never wanted to be good or great. He was one of the many newer generations of players that have the prerequisite talent and want the money and allure of being an athlete but do not care one way or another if they win or lose.
    • Not if just giving a bigger signing bonus but the same guaranteed number, as that’s still part of the guaranteed money that they can space out for future cap hits. Guaranteeing more money is what affects the cap space. The amount of a signing bonus is only about how big of a check the owner has to cut once it’s signed (at least I’m 99% sure that’s the case)
    • There's a spectrum like in all things. But honestly by and large vets aren't making the type of money most people assume they are. Most of them have a poo ton of student loans and running a clinic isn't cheap with the rent, utilities, staffing, etc.
