Are you shitting me? We gave up one sack to Irvin where the announcers counted to 3 and showed that the ball was held too long. The second sack and Mack's first all game was on our last play where again, we ran deep routes where you could see from the back view that our WRs weren't even looking when Cam got stripped. We ran for 129 yards at 5.2 ypc and gave up 1 sack until 4th and 10 on our final play.

Sorry, but the OL played well for being Remmers, Norwell, Larsen, Scott and Turner. Yep, only Norwell is in his natural position where he started the season and Scott and Larsen are both 3rd stringers.

You can't really run quick slants on 4th and 10

And Shula's game plan for that is to run deep long developing routes

lol duh.

That's how you utilize those skill sets

Timing routes are reserved for.players who can quickly beat the jam and pick up RAC.

Shula doesn't have a choice. Management isn't buying the groceries to complement what we need to cook.

We'll have to disagree. KB got open at will against Denver. Funchess got open when we targeted him. When we run quick routes, they are able to get separation or as some said early in the season, KB is always open even when covered.

Shula just plain sucks balls. How about he game plan to the strengths we have? The scores we had weren't great calls, they were just Ginn's speed, Cam's arm and Benjamin's hands.

Try all you want to make it seem like we don't have talent, but you are dead wrong. We have a team that can compete and beat everyone, but we continue to screw up our chances with crappy coaching. So frustrating to watch.

lol it doesn't matter if you disagree.

Its a fundamental bedrock of scheming around your strengths. its like ensuring you have LBs that can actually rush the passer if you want to run a 34.

this is why I can never endorse any criticism of Shula here. Because even though I don't harbor much love for him, 99% of the criticism are unsubstantiated buzzwords like "he just sucks the balls" that seldom have any context surrounding them and in the rare instance where somebody actually  points to a certain aspect, its something hilariously stupid like "ugh we have these big slow players, why doesn't Shula run a bunch of screens and slants to them"

This team is simply not cut out for the quick NYG style passing attack that Dave Gettleman is so intent on building here.

You don't go out and draft the biggest WR's in the league if you want a west-coast style/spread passing attack. Nothing about this team's passing philosophy or drafting suggest anything like that. Cam's target's are probably the longest in the game.   KB and Funchess are not just big WR's, they are huge. The type of system you are talking about is what the Steelers and New England run. KB wouldn't even get on the field at Pittsburgh the way the run their offense. They literally have 4 or 5 wr's that would run circles around Funchess and Benjamin. You draft big WR's for a controlled passing game, unless they are elite players Megatron (guys that can get separation and go up top). Benjamin can do that, but he not a underneath separation guy.
