we didnt even try to sign him last time. Jeff Garcia tho, is a winner. I don't know if the cap would allow it. but lets face it, i know i will get criticized, but Garcia is better than Delhomme. idk about his attitude, but the guy, when surrounded by talent (which may or may not be able, you judge), wins football games. Not to mention he has taken 3 different teams to the playoffs, and has been in multiple Pro Browls.

Garcia is extremely mobile and that's his best attribute, which would work perfect with our soggy O line.

We could have had Garcia the last time he was available and we needed a QB. We didn't even reach out to him, opting to go after A J Feeley instead.

With no opening on the roster, and A J Feeley already two weeks into his "crash course" what on earth makes you think we'd go after Garcia now? :nonod:

To insist that he'd be just fine in our system is more than just asinine, its ...its... uh... REALLY asinine. yeah.

My only interest in Garcia would be someone plugged in at the QB spot who is less likely to turn the ball over than Jake. Garcia has a 2-1 TD to INT lifetime percentage. Not bad.

I wonder, exactly what throw is Jake currently making that Garcia could not complete?

Garcia's not all that consistent on the longballs. Not a good flaw to have in an offense that prefers chucking it downfield over short passes. His arm strength has generally only been so-so even when he was younger, and now he's old. the mobility isn't what it once was either.

He's got the ideal skill set for the WCO. But whenever he's played outside of it he's wound up benched, and in favor of guys nobody would mistake for superstars.

Still, Smitty catching slants with a ball placed where it should be in stride makes me rub my hands together just a little.

But I think Foxy will stay with Jake the rest of the year anyways, at least until we're mathematically eliminated.
