our biggest mistake in the past 10 years

Both trades for our 1st round pick.

Otah started out great but was a baby and couldn't play through minor nagging injuries.

Everett Brown too.  Praise god we didn't do it the next year for pickles.

I am ecstatic that Gettleman values the 1st round picks and doesn't trade them away.

Hurney and overvaluing players really strapped us well after he was gone.   No telling what we could have done with some money to spend before teams figured out to stop Cam.

Most horrible decisions weren't obviously horrible at the time they were made.

Everyone knew Hardy was a loose cannon. It's why he slipped to the 6th round in the draft. We gambled and it blew up in our face big time costing us a big chunk of cap that season and a major PR black eye.

Hardy was a projected first rounder in 2009. He returned to Ole Miss for his senior year and got injured. Injury concerns are the reason he fell to the sixth round - he only played one complete season in college.

John Kasay kicking the ball out of bounds in SB38.
not game planning against Denver better in SB50.

nothing else is even remotely close.

Hahahaha... The Godfather called Kasay and told him that there was going to be a horses head in his bed in the morning if the Panthers win the Superbowl. The Mafia was about to lose there ass in Vegas.

Who shanks a kickoff. Maybe a field goal just missing the uprights, but a football field 53 yards wide!!!

Jerry Richardson was not going to give a 1st round contract to a rookie in 2009 or 2010 leading up to the CBA negotiations. Everyone who followed the team back then knew the Panthers had ZERO intention of signing a 1st round pick.

This was not a front office decision. This was an ownership decision. 2008 was the last hoorah for spending money until 2011. The Panthers did not even attempt to get rid of John Fox following the 2009 season. Ownership was not paying out any big money until the CBA was done.

Is that why we paid Delhomme $20 million and Peppers $18 million in 2009?

Franchising Hardy? Dude, we had no idea he was gonna go apepoo. None of us saw it coming. Hindsight is 20/20. If anything, it was smart. Imagine if we would have extended him for 5 years with guaranteed money.

As for Smitty, y'all know damn well it was a locker room move. It sucked major ass but it had to be done for Cam.

Pretty much...all this.
