Jerry Richardson is running the show

It's his way or the highway.  Many good GMs will not come here for that very reason.  We had suspicions before that Richardson was the one who got us into cap hell.  Looks like these suspicious were proven right.  This is Al Davis territory.

This is beyond Al Davis territory. At least Al Davis has a few Super Bowls to show for his tenure. JR is a fool. JR is a clown. Will the "Big Cat" show any accountability and hold a press conference? Not a chance. This team is in dire need of new ownership and they needed it yesterday.

We are headed back to the Hurney era. Olsena and TD will be given retirement contracts well past their prime. Andrew Norwell is going to get top 5 guard money. We are headed back to the country club mentality of 2011. I can't wait for those James Anderson and Charles Godfrey contracts to start rolling in.

The Panthers don't just fire front office people like they are disposable. In fact, JR seems to give people a long leash before he gets involved. So I am a bit confused by what you are even trying to say. Every GM that gets fired is because the owner doesn't agree with how they are running the team.

The other GM are puppets.  They do what he tells them to do.  Clearly DG disagreed with him.

There hasn't ever been any evidence that JR constantly steps on the GM's toes. In fact, from every report we have seen, JR is mostly hands off until situations get bad. Then he steps in.

What exactly has Gettleman done to make the Panthers Super Bowl contenders on a regular basis? None of the best players on the team even came to the Panthers during his tenure.

Maybe Hurney doesn't deserve as much slack as he gets. Sounds like he was just "Yes Man" for Jerry.

The only thing Gettleman has done was ride the coat tails of the solid core group of guys that were put in place before he got here.

Absolutely. Gettleman cleared the Panthers of bad contracts. But his ability to draft and obtain high quality free agents hasn't been stellar.
