it will go down as such despite the stupid baseless hate from people who poo on them because they're popular

I never liked them but I also do not like Cherry Garcia ice cream...doesn't mean it's not good just not for me

i've always hated their vocals and lyrics (although some of their instrumental work was pretty damn good) but this is horrible. poor guy was abused as a kid and didn't get the help he deserved. he probably felt isolated in his thoughts. it's really hard to overcome that and not many people have the capacity to understand how much of a struggle it is.

I'm curious to know what you hated about the lyrics? Have you yourself ever struggled with depression or thoughts of suicide? Not saying the band was everyone's cup of tea but they certainly related to their target audience. Aside from their radio hits much of their music/lyrics were dark.

I don't see why they're hated...

- Hybrid Theory

- Reanimation

- Meteora

Were pieces of art. Minutes to Midnight and A Thousands Suns weren't as impressive but tracks like Hands Held High, Burning in the Skies, What I've Done, Waiting for the End, Leave out all the Rest and Iridescent were very solid tracks. Granted, some of it got repetitive and their Nu Metal sound wasn't good but man... those three albums are untouchable.

Personally I think Waiting for the End is one of their better songs. People loved Chester's voice because it was "emotional." I feel like that song was designed to kick you right in the feels.

1. personally i didn't care for the vocal style and i always thought the lyrics were angsty.

2. you can dislike something and still understand that it has value to other people. music is completely subjective and i honestly think you should like what you want but that doesn't mean i'm not going to voice my opinion either. kurt cobain was suicidal leading up to... well, his suicide, but he didn't like pearl jam's music at all.

i wasn't saying you can't think that way I was just curious why you "hated" the lyrics. Angsty? I can see that lol

    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
    • I'd think we could get one of those from Dallas for... whatever.
