He was a WR/RB hybrid in college. In the pros he's a WR that'll have the occasional gadget play. I'm just saying JStew has nothing to do with Samuel's snap count.  I'm guessing McCaffrey will move to the slot a few times a game, but Samuel will be there or out wide for most of the game.

Actually Jstew has a lot do with Samuel's snap count. The more snaps J Stew gets as a RB, the more CmC will be used in the passing game over Samuel (in the slot, motioning in and out of the backfield, catching screen passes, etc). I wouldn't even be surprised if we lined up CmC out wide on occasion. Point is, he's our superstar, and him getting snaps in the passing game will directly affect Samuel's production. Add to the fact Samuel is a still a very raw route runner, especially in the slot where route running is far more complex in the NFL where defenses throw multiple looks at you, it'll take him a year or two to fully develop into his own.

Funchess is entering his 3rd year as a pro and statistically, the 3rd year is when most wide receivers have their breakout season (ala Mike Evans)

Samuel will be more important but really it should be Funchess.

Funch will have another subpar mediocre average season. We'll be bitchinhh about him again.

loll you're speaking like "subpar mediocre average season" is the norm for Funchess.

he had an above average rookie year, a subpar sophomore year (so did our entire team) and he's just now entering his 3rd season.

lolll some of ya'll make me chuckle
