Mainly yes. Our offense was #1 in scoring yet we were 13th in yards per play and 11th in total yards. Atlanta was #1 in scoring and 1st and 2nd in 2016. Denver was #1 in scoring in 2013 and 2014 and was 1st and 1st/4th and 4th. Our 2015 was the outlier by far. Our turnovers were almost 1 per game more than those 3 teams.

I was gonna say something along the same lines, but you dug into the stats a lot more than I know and I appreciate it.  2015 was the outlier for our offense.  No doubt that Cam played his best statistical year of his career, BUUUT, our defense got turnovers at a greater rate than we've ever seen.  IMO, I think a huge part of that was J-No and surprisingly Peanut who has always historically been a turnover machine.  In fact, the "peanut punch" imo was good for a few extra takeaways via fumble that season (not just from him, I know J-no atleast had 1 peanut punch).  We went from 12 Fumbles recovered in 2014, to 15 in 2015, back down to 10 in 2016.

That's because our defense came together and worked together as a unit we will get to that point just give it time . Our offense would be better stat wise 2015 but we chose to secure the win by going down and caring about wins not stats atl can be up 50 and still pass the ball to hype the stats . We are more humble and if they had our method to winning they would have won the Super Bowl not blown the lead . We are a great team and we will go far it's never a straight line in life brother there will always be bumps and curves in the road and the saints was a bump but things we'll be better going forward I promise just keep your. Faith and don't give up on this team because they are not giving up on us fans .

I don't think anyone is giving up on this defense.  What we're saying that it's not fair to expect the defense to be a top 3 unit just in order to drag a game management offense to the playoffs.  Cam was drafted #1 and is a dynamic talent, yet we're using him like he's trent dilfer and never given him a chance to go to the next level as a passer.

The only stat that counts is wins and we have a better chance of winning with shulas offense . We might not the highest scoring but we are 2 and 1 because we milk the clock when we are up and that gave us two wins last week wasn't shulas fault it was more on us missing opportunities we need to score in the redzone  stop blaming Shula for everyone else's fault .

Come on lombardi, fess-up, you are Shula's mom aren't you?
