Why is our center and RG pulling here?

Larsen and Silatolu pulls, leaving McCoy unblocked. Williams picked up the LB blitzing and Dickson got the DE. Aren't pulling supposed to be for Guards and Tackles? This was after a big Cam run and it put us in 2nd and long in the redzone. Ultimately we scored, but we can't have this happening especially against Atlanta at home

It looks like McCoy just studied his film and made a great play. Most defensive linemen are taught to follow the pulling guard or center which would have brought him right into Daryl Williams but McCoy knew he was getting trapped and made a great play by not letting Williams block him down.

My guess....a blown individual assignment

All it takes is one dude getting something wrong  and a play looks like that.  Larsen if you watch him looks to immediately realize something went wrong

or as mentioned.  McCoy is smart and good.  Could just be him pulling a Luke and destroying something.  Which happens with the McCoys and Lukes in games.  They simpym are gonna wreck some plays no matter the OC

    • When we have everyone playing like they should, we can win the Cup. That has been the biggest problem when we get to the playoffs, but this year seems to be fixed mostly. We could have had multiple if we had done this in the past.
    • Here we go Bryce Stan’s you should love this. Hell it may be one of you.  It has every cliche excuse and then some.  Unintentionally hilarious my limit was reached when he said Bryce had it hard because four play callers.
    • Luke goes in to the specifics of what he looked to accomplish in joint practices.  Basically they may work with someone on the opposing team to stress something they feel is a weakness in their own game in a different way that can be done with someone they are familiar with. That they can have predetermined stresses but since neither wants to get injured and it has absolutely no bearing on anything there is not the level of concern that would be in a preseason game.  He would also even chat with opposing OC.   It seems like an interesting nuance among the vets and savy pros.
