Remember that awesome MNF game vs. Tampa last season?

I just realized that game really wrecked that entire franchise. They were 9-3 when they came into Bank of America Stadium and got WRECKED by Double Trouble. That was the start of their 4-game losing streak to end the season that led to Gruden's firing and many old Bucs veterans finally being shown the door.

It's now 2009 and they STILL haven't won a game. That MNF loss was the start of their current NINE-game losing streak dating back to last season.

So, to recap, that loss wrecked their entire season. Which wrecked their franchise. Which wrecked their 2009 season.

So there's a bright spot to think about in addition to the win today. That win last season set off a domino effect that really led to the Bucs being sent back to their old AWFUL ways of the '70s, '80s, and '90s lol.

At some point, Tampa Bay becomes what Detroit was 2 weeks ago, or what the Rams maybe are now, and that's the most dangerous team in the NFL. They HAVE to win sometime, and the law of averages become on their side(s). Washington isn't suffering so much from a lack of talent as they are good schemes, especially in the red zone, just like turnovers have dogged us so far, the 'Skins can move the ball to the 20, but from there, things get dicey. I bring this up because TB played them tough last week in DC. Cadillac looked good, and he has done some damage to us when he has been healthy. We're playing them in TB. I just want our guys grounded and focused when they go there and not think that this will be a 'gimme'. I think our returned guys from the injured list paid some dividends today. Let's hope that continues.

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
