Now for the skins to lose and we don't have to worry about a wild card coming from the east or the north. I'm assuming green bay is done without Rodgers

Even if NO wins this wknd that’ll put LA at 4 losses and they still have to play Seattle.

So LA or Seattle would be guaranteed a 5th loss.

Hopefully the Vikes can beat the Falcons next week.

The Saints and Falcons still play each other twice so there’s losses to go around still.

I’m thinking we’ll be ok for a wildcard at 11-5 (losses to NO and Minny) but I wouldn’t want to lose that 6th game.

That last game of the year in Atlanta could be to see who gets into the playoffs. Hopefully Rodgers doesn’t come back but with our luck I’m sure he will.

I think the falcons will be on the outside looking in. They'll lose to the vikings and one or two to the saints.

No way they re-activate that dude. It'd be stupid if they did.

Ah they might...

They have Pittsburgh this wknd so let’s assume they lose and go to 6 losses.

They then have Tampa and Cleveland both winnable games. They win both and are at 7-6 when they play us... I’m thinking Rodgers comes back. They’ll have a shot if they win out with 6 losses still

Rivers is underrated, don't know why he doesn't get more credit, he is a top 10 QB

Similar to Jake.  Better of course, but inferior physically to the elite, streaky, emotional, moments of brilliance sprinkled with utter mind numbingly moronic decisions.

I don't think they'll beat Tampa. And I feel like if they bring Rodgers back, it'll be a Romo situation

Yeah I agree, personally I wouldn’t rush him back but I’m guessing Rodgers will have final say.

But yeah let’s hope Tampa beats them and they shut AR down

Thats fuging rough when 11-5 only gets you a fuging wild card hahaha. Ugh. Falcons won the division with that record last year.

Saints could drop one against the Rams, who knows. Its an away game and the Rams offense will be looking to bounce back in a big way after last week. Then we'll be playing them like its  a playoff game at the Dome on December 3rd. This game is absoutely huge , we win and we have a very serious shot at stealing the division away from them. If we lose, we're pretty much playing for the top wild card spot in the NFC.

Yeah we lose December 3rd we’ll be 2 games back of NO PLUS they’ll have the tiebreaker so we’d essentially be 3 games back with 4 games remaining.

We picked a TOUGH year to have one of our rare winning seasons. Whoever comes out of the NFC will have certainly earned the right to play in the SB

    • The word I feel most comfortable using as a descriptor is "inconsistent". Haven't really seen anyone disagree with that. Consistency being one of the things I value most in a player, that makes me lean toward moving on. But he does still have both time and opportunity to prove otherwise. Mind you, having a streaky quarterback isn't exactly a new thing in Charlotte (you could argue it's been the norm). Delhomme was notorious for starting slow but finishing strong. He could sadly also find hos way into ruts that were difficult to crawl out of. Newton, on the other hand, was often known to start hot but fade late (the vast majority of the 2015 season followed that pattern) though it could be argued that was a team pattern as much as it was Cam's.  There are definitely some fans for whom this is always going to be a bridge too far. (or too short) Realistically, it's not impossible that he could still have a good career even with those issues. It's a damn sight more difficult, though. And arguably, less likely.
    • Oh, I did, and they weren't based in emotions either. Granted, characterizing them that way gives you an easy out to avoid responding to them. Similar tactic to dismissing the other guy's points with "nah, you didn't really watch the games" which saves you having to debate what he said. Strikes me as a kinda lazy way to go, but hey both elements are still back there if you feel up to trying later.
    • I see the issue, I am not counting his rookie season where he didn't actually play minus a few snaps of garbage time. So by your math that would be his 4th year.
