What QB do you like...

As chbright said he fell because of work ethic/character issues not for production (at least in his senior year). I don't think he will fall for any reason other then projections don't take into effect Junior's declaring early. And he is projected to go in the 2nd-3rd round range as it is. I still don't know how Gilbert didn't go in the 2nd.

As far as Skelton, I don't think he is even on most draft boards. I see that changing if he gets an invite to the combine. But with all the likely QB prospects I really can't see a scenario where he is picked before the 3rd. Unless he has a Flacco like off-season (which is possible given his physical skills).

If i remeber right his senior year johson only had like 8 or 9 sacks??

but I was reading from the guy at scout.com and he says teams have Skelton no lower than the 3rd round.

I think it is too early to tell it, there really are to many variables. In my perfect world we would somehow get a late 1st and get Brian Price (UCLA DT) if he declares, in the 2nd get Lane, and in the 3rd get Skelton. That would be an A+ draft in my eyes. Maybe even Riley Cooper in the 4th.

Unfortunately I'm on the The Golden Calf of Bristol Train =x

Well get off it. His back up John Brantley will definitely be a better NFL QB. He'll be starting for UF next year, just watch him and how the offense will be different with him under center. He's got a nice spiral and nice accuracy, something The Golden Calf of Bristol doesn't have. And everyone says The Golden Calf of Bristol's mechanics aren't great and that is true. He brings the ball down too low. I love the guy, brought so much to Florida but I can't see him as a NFL QB.

If we can wait a year with Matt Moore, we can draft Brantley next year.

Matt Moore? I know we will keep him into next year but I really want to see us draft multiple QB's. We need much better competition. Theres alot of big name QB's that all seem to have their results because of their offensive scheme. We need to really take are time and drafted two just to be sure. I loved how Packers drafted Flynn and Brohm who seemed like he would be the more successful of the two but hasnt been. But odds definitely are we will pick up some guy who hasnt had a chance to start i.e.Flynn or someone who will be available and still draft someone. Its just hard to see them parting with Jake.

    • lol well that kinda ended up working out in the end, even though I still don't have my jersey yet. Was supposed to ship by tomorrow this time, but just got another email saying it was delayed another 3 weeks and because it's been delayed so long, I had to tell them to keep the order or cancel it, but gave me a 25% off my next order as an apology. Well, my original fear came true and they are now selling the FUSE version (but still not the Blue unfortunately) before the one I ordered was ever shipped. But that's awesome, because I was able to use that coupon to order the FUSE instead and then cancelled the original order.  So I got the jersey I wanted for only $6.30 more than the crappier version costs, and it also says it will be shipped immediately and get here early next week, or 2 weeks before the other was now supposed to be shipped out.
    • I've watched this and think we are well underway.  Believe it or not, Bryce is a big part of this.  The way he bounced back with such grace.  And we've got a lot of young players who want to make their mark, Dave is giving them an opportunity.  I loved our draft.  I like the number of guys we brought in, and they will help build the culture we want under Dave.  We're getting closer, and I think we'll see more wins this year than most of the board. The right culture breeds winning, and winning builds the right culture.  Imho, it's coming.
    • As others have said it's both. One creates the other. But it also takes time sometimes years. And there have been teams lately with new car smell coaching staffs that looked like they were putting it together quickly but things came crashing back down to Earth. Sustainability is the key. For that to happen the meddling of our owners has to stop and they cannot be tempted to return to their ways over any bump in the road either.
