Next Gen Stats on CAM

Any one see what Cams top speed was on that 60yd run this past week? I'm interested to compare it to the  69yrd (20.09mph) one he had  against the Dolphins and JStews  (20.4mph)earlier in the game.  The 10-15 lb weight drop appears to have helped CAM get that burst back.

I know its been said before but CAM is on a mission this year. He's better and more locked in than our last Superbowl run. Cant wait  for the playoffs.

Looks like it was 19.8 mph

Fun Fact - that DB that ran him down was Trae Waynes who ran a 4.31 at the NFL Combine

Nice. Another other coner and Newton would have scored lol.  CAM the only QB on that list of the top 20 fastest plays of week 14. Sometimes we forget how much of a beast athlete CAM is. Mad respect for carrying us to that win last week.

Would've been awesome if he scored but it was for the best that he didn't.  Getting tackled at the 5 yard line, run out the clock, force them to use all their timeouts, and THEN score a TD anyways was absolute best case scenario and we managed to pull it off.

Agreed.  Panthers Win>Cam.  I just want a SB ring for his sake. He's done way too much  for the team without recognition and feel a ring would get the haters off his back. I'm sure that wont happen but at least he'll get some credit for it.

CAMVP is back!

So in the open field, our giant 245 lb QB is faster than Antonio Brown and Todd Gurley?  Mind blown.

That's just for the week though. I think gurley had a 21mph run in some other week and I'm sure Brown does as well. That being said, the fact that's he's in the top for fastest plays of the week TWICE in once season as a QB is damn impressive.

245? Maybe when he was 22. He’s pushing 260. I heard from a decently reliable source he was 270 going into training camp last year.

245 is always what I have seen listed as his official. 270 seems very hard to believe.  I also think he seems a little trimmer now than years past...

Either way, he is a large man and crazy that he is even on the board for fastest MPH on a weekly basis.  Generational type athlete for sure...

Both corners that ran him down ran very fast 40's and it shows by them having to turn around locate him and run when he is already 10 yards past them.

Also i hope hes not 270. i can believe 255 last year but he looks slimmer this year. If he is id low key be concerned about his health after football lol jk

    • He was so much fun to watch as a player but is a prototypical example of the old "never meet your heroes" adage. Great player, not a great guy.
    • Look.... if us BY "haters" give credit about his GWDs...... Will the BY stans also have honest discussion about the 55minutes before the last 5 in which BY has put up 9/20 for 78 yards 0 TDs???
    • The way they are handling now is how they should have handled it from the start instead of that you get a series, you a get a series. Let Chuba spell until he had some of his step back.  We definitely could have put a better showing against Buffalo and their weak run defense had we employed the same game plan we did against Green Bay. Saints were determined to stop the run and make Bryce beat them, Atlanta had similar plan and the coaches and Bryce were able to respond.  Rico although didnt have the best rushing game was vital in the passing game and his catch and run help get us into the redzone there at the end of regulation probably should have been a touchdown that out of bounds was a judgement call it wasn't conclusive and thus should have went with the original call on the field.  Roco brings that dawg to the offense that it shorely lacked up until Miami game. Interesting it was his call that help seal the win for us, glad the coaches were listening. Hope they can get a deal done and run it back next year.
