Round 1 Pick 24:  Washington, James, WR, Oklahoma State (B)
Round 2 Pick 23:  Guice, Derrius, RB, LSU (A)
Round 3 Pick 21:  St Brown, Equanimeous, WR, Notre Dame (A-)
Round 3 Pick 24:  Elliott, DeShon, SS, Texas (A)
Round 5 Pick 24:  Lauletta, Kyle, QB, Richmond (A+)
Round 6 Pick 23:  Pineiro, Eddy, K, Florida (A+)
Round 7 Pick 16:  Marshall, Trey, SS, Florida State (A)
Round 7 Pick 24:  Nichols, Deatrick, CB, South Florida (A+)

I could see us going mostly offense again in the early rounds and using some late picks on defense. With the exception of DB, we will probably pick a DB with our 1st or 2nd rounder this isnt quite a  realistic draft lol.

I do like how Washington and St. Brown have very different body types/styles. I guess this senario we dont sign a notable FA WR . I love Guice as a RB prospect and hes a steal in the late 2nd.

Heres a more realistic defensive minded draft , assuming we pay decent $ in FA for a good WR or 2. I think thats the best approach to take too. So we only need to take a RB in the draft and focus mostly on repairing the secondary/upgrading the pass rush which are desperate needs.

Round 1 Pick 24:  James, Derwin, SS/FS, Florida State (A+)
Round 2 Pick 23:  Green, Rasheem, DE, Southern California (A)
Round 3 Pick 21:  Ragnow, Frank, C/OG, Arkansas (A)
Round 3 Pick 24:  Watts, Armani, FS, Texas AM (A-)
Round 5 Pick 24:  Ballage, Kalen, RB, Arizona State (B+)
Round 6 Pick 23:  Reed, DJ, CB, Kansas State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 16:  Ferguson, Riley, QB, Memphis (A)
Round 7 Pick 24:  Pineiro, Eddy, K, Florida (A+)

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
