watching.

wow, up 8, 1st and 10 at the 24 yard line after Julio's incredible catch. Then an incomplete pass, a 20 yard sack, a 10 yard hold, another incomplete, and a punt on 4th an 33.

a FG there and Falcons are superbowl champs. Shannahan sure screwed the pooch on that drive

That wasn't on Shanny that was player execution choking and Matt Ryan not throwing the ball away.

disagree. 3 min left in the game and you're up by 8, a FG essentially wins the game.

you run it on 3 straight plays, force NE to use their time outs, kick the FG, and you're hoisting the lombardi trophy.

100% shannahan fault.

2:34 that play is 100% Matt Ryan and was the biggest play of that drive by far.

And there was about 4 minutes left in the game, Pats still had all 3 time outs. You run 3 times Pats have the ball down 11 with more than 2 minutes left and 3 timeouts. They score, TD or FG, then can still easily get the ball back after kicking off. Blaming Shanahan for anything in that game is retarded. Player execution was the problem. You can blame Carroll/Bevell for the Pats' 2014 SB win but you can't blame Shanahan for this one.

4 min left, if you run it three straight times and NE doesn't use their timeouts, that's a minimum of 120 seconds off the clock. that puts you at around the 2 min warning kicking a FG to go up by two possessions.

Even with 3 timeouts, there's no way they're scoring a FG or TD without having to attempt an onside kick.

sure ryan was stupid for taking that sack, but why the hell call a pass in that situation? All on shannahan.

Lots of folks have said that it was Carroll's call to pass rather than run at the goal line, but he threw Bevell under the bus for it.  Hell, this offseason Carroll pretty much threw everybody under the bus.

I might get some flack for this, but I don't actually think Carroll is all that great a head coach.  I think the Seahawks won a lot because of the phenomenal draft they had a few years back but they're coming back to earth these days.
