Rivera said something about a joker position.. If he is talking about the Elephant position some defenses have when a tweener type OLB/DE.. Comes in on oblivious passing downs as a speed rusher or sometimes drop back to cause confusion on a blitz .. I like the plan.. If this guy can do it is another story..

I sometimes wonder about Rivera.  He said that Haynes would not be adding weight--called him a Joker---said he would be a DE, and compared him to Addison, who gained 30 lbs in the NFL---Sounds like he is going to be a situational blitzer--he will sometimes cover the TE, sometimes he will blitz.

Rivera said he wouldn't be "asked to" gain weight.  Wink wink... it's implied bo need to ask..

More and more I look at this kid, the more I like the pick. Use him as a situational pass rusher and he could be something like Bruce Irvin for us.
