What the fuck has John Kasay ever done for us?

John Fox

Fk John Kasay - Everyone thinks he's so ***** wonderful because he is such a role model citizen - I don't care how ***** wonderful he is - He has totally failed when it has matter the most. Winning means more. If Fox wasn't so conservative, he never would have kicked those last minute 30-40 yrd field goals for the win anyway and wouldn't mean sh*t. Hope this is his last year.

You're not allowed to criticize Kasay. Ever.

You are when he deserves it. But in the NFL, the chances of hitting a 50 yard fg even in good conditions is only about 75% or so, and those percentages drop dramatically when you throw in a lot of wind. Before he kicked it, I thought it was about a 50/50 thing, so I wasn't shocked when he missed it.

As a Carolina Panther fan, you have every right to be upset about the loss. A game that close, it really hurts when we can't pull it out. BUT, I'll be damned if I let people blame the loss on John Kasey. Sure he messed up in the Superbowl in 2003, but we would not have even played in that game if it wasn't for him! That much is obvious.

Various play calling on offense and poor play on defense attributed to this loss.

We showed last night that we are a good team. Sure we need to work on a few key areas, but we have a real chance to get back to the NFC Championship.

Now go ahead, call me a damn fool, call me anything you want, but I'm a football fan, and I'm a Carolina Panthers fan. I read this board a lot and I can not help but notice how fast people are ready to curse our team. I'm expecting many replys will look like this,

"Shut up you girl! I'm a fan, and I have every right to whine and bitch and moan like anyone else. I'm being realistic you dick"

Well save it. Go Panthers! Beat the Saints!

If Fox wasn't so conservative Kasay wouldn't be the over rated kicker he is. We should have been scoring 7 not 3 anyway. Give me the ball with 2 minutes left - I'll put any average kicker at 30-40 yrds and let them look like an artificial winner.

    • https://nfltraderumors.co/2026-nfl-draft-grades-for-all-32-teams/      Grade: B+ Best Pick: Sam Hecht Biggest Reach (consensus rank): Jackson Kuwatch (NR) It's easy to love what Carolina did. The Panthers traded four times but ended the draft with the same number of selections that they started with and in approximately the same ranges. They did not take a player ahead of the consensus until Kuwatch at No. 227, and it's easy to see how he fell through the cracks playing at Miami of Ohio. He's a high-end athlete, though, and has a chance to develop, which is a fine profile for a seventh-rounder. Freeling and Brazzell also checked the high-end athleticism upside boxes for the Panthers. Carolina let the board come to them in the first round and could have a long-term solution at left tackle, which is a hard position to fill. Brazzell slid because of some maturity concerns as well as the difficulty in projecting receivers from Tennessee's Mickey Mouse offense. At 6-4, 200 pounds and 4.37 in the 40, though, the upside is undeniable. On top of that, the landed three starters on Day 3. Normally that's a high and unrealistic bar, but Hecht and Wheatley were both firmly inside the top 100 on the consensus board and have paths to win starting competitions. Lee fits the scheme well and has some interesting traits as an outside corner. What stopped me from a full-out A grade is not loving the Hunter pick, though he does fill a need to replace DT A'Shawn Robinson. There were prospects at other needs positions I would have been more jazzed about. The Brazzell pick is also an interesting risk for a team that's still in building mode, even coming off an NFC South title. Still, I'm nitpicking
