They still caught up to him.

They timed him at 20.37 mph on that run. I don’t really know who sits there with a radar gun lol All I know is he ran 10.75 100 meters at age 16 in high school so he has good wheels. Maybe Alvin is twice as fast?? But I’m not a saints fan so I root for our guys

That one play proved his point wrong as CMC was over 20mph on that play. Hard to show off the wheels on inside runs with no space. Some people should just root for other teams at this point.

Actually you are wrong. McCaffery was the fastest player wild card weekend at 20.37 mph.

You do realize that that measurement isn’t the sustained speed, it is the top speed somewhere in a play. That was also I believe McCaffery’s longest play. Same with Fournette. So, at some point in a long run these guys are all fast. To say this is way more meaningful than a 40 is wrong as this is a point in time speed, not a measured speed over say a 10 yard portion of the run.

Kamara top speed for the season was 20.86 and was clocked over 20 mph multiple times. And theirs this

And ironically  from the link you posted Fournette was first and second place all season.

The 40 is done in tights with no pads and you need to have your hand in the ground, so one bad get off and your screwed. If you think 40 time = game speed Idk what to tell you

Are you still trying to use high school 40 times to judge a players speed 3-5 years later? This is how you came to the conclusion that Saquon Barkley was a 4.6 speed guy and much slower than CMC.

Fournette is faster thaN CMC. In full football gear. Which is all that matters. And the fact that Fournette is 30 lbs heavier is the main issue. When CMC stops getting “rag dolled” by DL, then we can make a comparison.

Why does discussing other players in a realistic manner automatically constitute “rooting “ for other teams players? Not just meant as a question for you. Seems that this is a fall back option for many on here when a discussion doesn’t go their way.

Ironically, that was a long post to tell me thanks for pointing out that you were wrong that CMC was only 19 MPH fast.

Well, you’re welcome. I’m happy to prove you wrong.

He hit over 20 mph once all season. Lol

I’m tired of making logical discussion with folks who don’t like their own player and will never change their minds

What logic? Show me the logic behind “he’s better because he’s on our team”. Or a 40 yd dash time from 5-6 years ago. Remember the last time you used that logic?

So we can’t say anything remotely negative about any player on our team. Is that the “logic” you speak of? Or is it just CMC that is off limits? Because I don’t see you jumping to any other players defense when they are getting  blasted on here. What are we supposed to discuss on here? How everything is puppies and unicorns and every player on our team is perfect?

ournette and Alvin but suddenly people say he is slower. That’s illogical and it’s not 6 years ago I maintain that if the three raced for 40 yards today he would beat both of them. Alvin was almost a tenth slower at the combine

    • I thought this presented an interesting point. It is fair to wonder now, about switching the two QBs as so many tried to do that first year where Bryce was trash and CJ looked great.  It is almost the reverse scenario now and I wonder what CJ would look like here with better weapons better coaching and better protection. Overall, compared year one.  If each player had been in the other place for the three years. I would love to see CJ with this team now.  Just to see.
    • I really have no clue what to expect sunday.  To quote one of my favorite bands of all time, Operation Ivy "All I know is that I dont know".  We could win, hell we could win convincingly, we also could lose in blowout fashion.  We could be in a back and forth game with whoever has the ball last winning.  I legit HAVE NO CLUE.  This isnt the dominant bills teams of the past, Allen is still elite and can win any game by himself.  That said, heres my stab at looking at things. Our defense is made to stop this kind of team.  Strong against the run, a great corner but meh talent around the field.  We've stopped prolific run offenses this season.   Javonte Williams - Season low yards and ypa against us. De'Von Achane - Season low yards and ypa against us Breece hall - 3rd worst yards in a game Fact of the matter is, we arent what we were last year, we are a good run defense and that lines up well against the bills, Stop the run.  For once the lack of moving Jaycee might be a good thing, he will essentially lock down a side and without multiple real weapons thats fine.  Buffalo does not have an elite guy, theyve got a gaggle of average dudes.  Allen will stay away from Jaycee, it will be on Mike Jack and Chau Smith Wade do to their part and they will be matched with guys they can play at the level of. On offense, we do what the bills are bad at.  We run the ball well, and they suck at stopping the run.  Rico and Chuba will need 30 carries.  Andy Dalton will need to be opportunistic.  My big fear is what we learned last year, Dalton can get overconfident and make bonehead throws.  Its this simple.  Run the ball, stop the run.  Dont turn the ball over.  If we do these 3 things, we will be in a position to win in the 4th quarter.
