Everyone in life has their ups and downs and nothing in this world is perfect. At some point in life, hardships begin to occur and that’s when the real test begins. Some people rise up and try their absolute best to take a stand against the challenge. Then there are others that would crawl back into their shells, crying for mercy. There should be no excuse for giving up or not putting in the effort. People are only successful in winning the battle of adversity when they are mentally tough. The intense game of adversity can be referred to football. Football is a game of adversity and emotion. People who have not played a sport or follow one closely don’t understand the emotion behind game. The first time I played organized football was with Southwestern Youth Football team. I had the best of time playing cornerback. The last game of the season the game I ever played. I intercepted two balls and made so many tackles. The ball carrier of the opposition would be a deer and I would be the headlights flashing at him, making him freeze. Even though our team had a great performance that game, we fell short of a field goal kick losing by three points. That year, we went (0-7) as our final record. A lot of players had quit after we were (0-5), but those who quit didn’t care about the team but only themselves. We were frustrated during that time and hungry for a win, but we didn’t let anything make us roll over and quit. We stayed committed to our coaches and our team by playing with a lot of heart and emotion. From that losing season, I had learned two things. First was that losing is a part of life, but rising back up and busting your butt off to earn success is what counts. lets get to 3-1 boys , one game at a time  DOMINATE !!!!!PLAY AGRESSIVE , HIT HIT HIT AND HIT , SPIT IN ELI MANNING EYES MAKE HIM SPIT BLOOD AFTER SACKING HIM , CRACK ODELL BECKHAMS KNEE CAPS THAT GUY CHEAP SHOTTED US IN 2015 WE NEED REVENGE EVEN THOUGH JOSH Aint here , what goes around comes around lets get it!! i hate the giants more then any damn team this is my superbowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is my superbowl i couldnt sleep last night because im so pumped , get this  WIN BOYS KEEP POUNDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
