Who the hell thought Wilks would be a good HC?

Merely saying that your comments had merit on Wilks

That is until we played games we needed late in the season when we got our tails kicked...he was mediocre at best and is not a big game coach

Defense with older players fall apart late in the year. Seen it before and we saw it last year.

when the older players were fresh early last year we dominated. When the season was late and they were tired we didn’t. It wasn’t a coaching issue it was a player issue we had a player at every level on the defense aged 34+ up. That’s ancient in NFL years. Also why I pointed out that Peppers wasn’t the great resigning that many people thought it was, dude is 38.

Ive seen this happen a few times before, seen it happen to offenses too and made a point of this before the season started with the age at key positions on the team.

I made a really good post about this durning the offseason that I’m sure you didn’t see, because if you did you wouldnt even be arguing with me at this point.

watch more football and you will see this happen again.

expect better results next year when we have a youth movement. We will literally be getting rid of 4 players 34+ yo at key positions and maybe a 5th(Davis).

    • I presented that scenario because this is a home game and we seemed to have improved in some capacity in that area as of recently. The problem with the possibility of sweeping the Bucs is this team has had a habit of quickly falling victim to momentum shifts. The Bucs are coming off a bitter loss the same as the Panthers but the Bucs have a much better proven track record this time of year and they have performed when the pressure is on unlike our Panthers. We have a shot against the Seahawks here in BOA but that is a matchup that could quickly get out of hand because they are a well coached team and that goes back to the momentum shifts I mentioned. I just don't see this team beating the Bucs in their stadium to close the season. Tall order to say the least.
    • I’d give it another year for Sanders and Evans, I don’t much care what you do with Tremble’s spot. Let him have another year or maybe replace him. Haven’t looked at his contract so that may be the determining factor.
    • Following the crazy up down pattern we finish 9-8 with an improbable sweep of TB, and lay an egg in the home playoff game.  I don’t know if I can sign on to sweeping TB but I suppose it’s possible, they aren’t really that good this year.    ps I can buy beating TB Sunday and losing to Seattle.  Then it just gets to can you fluke one game. Any given Sunday. So we’ll see.
