he made a clickbait thread when the same source said

the only reason this is news is because the FO and coaching staff has been a clown show since cam entered the league. i mean duh i would hope they would be interested in finding out how serious the shoulder situation is and planning accordingly. the fact that they havent given it much thought to this point is the story here.

This is not a clickbait thread. This is an "oh sh-t" thread.

The fact that they're worried enough about this to be considering options concerns me, and it should.

Mr. Scot couldn't make it past the first page in a thread he willingly created without lobbing "nana nana boo boo" level insults.

Can't really complain too much about getting poo under the circumstances.

Well, when someone acts like a child, sometimes you have to talk to them like one.

You tried pulling your usual of trying to inject something that wasn't there. It's why people don't take you seriously.

Thanks Phil.

Seriously, if someone wanted to cause hysteria or push an "OMG we're moving on from Cam Newton agenda, the thing to do would have been to post Bailey's first tweet only and frame it as such.

Bailey himself recognized that people were misreading it that way and posted the second to explain that wasn't what he was actually saying.

Now granted, there's also more to the whole story as it pertains to Hurney and Rivera, but that was already being discussed elsewhere.

i mean i could see where it would be "oh poo" if you're of the belief that this was rivera or hurney's call since it would have to be extremely serious for them to actually be concerned with cam's health but i believe this was tepper's call. this is the first major departure from the richardson era.

I'm not so much worried about whose call it is as I am the fact that it's necessary to discuss it at all.

Said it before: I don't want that sh-t show we watched Monday night to be my last memory of Cam Newton in a Panthers uniform.

I don't believe it will be, but again, this is one of those times when I have to acknowledge the possibility.

Where are the angst filled "oh sh-t" threads about Luke Kuechly after his struggles this season and concussion history?

He'll be 28 in April with a cap hit of 10.5 million.

I don't see posters like Mr. Scot anxious to get him out the door.

When I see someone with inside info post that the organization is worried about Luke Kuechly's future, I'll post it.

This post isn't about being "anxious" to get Newton out the door. It's about worried that he might be out the door sooner than we want.

Again, you're sh-tposting worthless garbage and contributing nothing to the discussion, but hey, you be you.

The chances of him going anywhere next year regardless of any of this are very remote.

We might be able to find some teams willing to take his contract on in a trade, but they will not give us much in the way of draft compensation considering the current questions about his injury status. I certainly wouldn't hold my breath expecting a first rounder or even a second rounder.

David Tepper isn't going to move on from the franchise quarterback on a team he just paid billions for on a whim. I think regardless of all this Cam will get one more season to show where he's at. That's when this discussion will become more prevalent. But right now? Dude we haven't even seen Heinicke play one game in the regular season yet, and we still have to look into who we could possibly draft. Pump the breaks.

To be fair, I'm pretty damn anxious to get Marty Hurney and Ron Rivera out the door.

The only door I'm anxious to get Cam Newton through though is the one to surgery so he can get his shoulder fixed.

(or physical therapy, whatever's needed)
