Here's the article, but I wanted this to be more of a discussion thread if possible.

Some of the stats the jumped out at me the most were

  • CMCs 107 receptions were the most by any running back in NFL history
  • CMC became 3rd player in NFL history with 1000 rushing yards and 100 receptions
CMC became 3rd player in NFL history to start the first 2 years of his career with 1500 rushing and 1500 receiving yards
  • Luke recorded 20 tackles for loss, a single season franchise record
  • Team lead the NFL in yards per carry (5.13) , with it being the 2nd highest ypc on the ground in franchise history

CMC also was 3rd in the NFL in total yards from scrimmage with 1965 (2 : Ezekiel Elliot 2001 , 1 Saquon Barkley 2028).

He would have easily finished in 1st in yards from scrimmage and gotten incredibly close to 1000 and 1000 if he hadn't been held out of the final game with the exception of 1 drive and had not been held out of part of the 2nd to last game.

His historical performance this season really may get lost in the annals of history because our season was so shitty this year.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
