Be Careful What You Wish for......

I am not taking up for Jakes VERY POOR TERRIBLE PLAY, but be very careful what you wish for.

Everyone knows Matt Moore is just as capable of going out there and throwing 3 INTS, so it makes him the obvious choice (considering he "CANT DO ANY WORSE")

But understand what your asking for. This is a lot bigger than pulling our QB to make a statement, this officially puts us in the rebuilding stage.

Seems kinda crazy considering 17 was under center when we went 12-4 and our offense was insane down the stretch.

That guy has to be in there somewhere.

People seem to forget Jake had some terrible performances last year that we ended up winning. To me he has never been the same since that surgery. I have watched him just plain miss open receivers for 2 seasons. Picks or no picks there are guys who can complete better passes than Jake and whether Moore is the answer or not we have to find someone who can get the ball to open receivers, thats where Jake has been terrible for 2 straight seasons.

We will not be in rebuilding mode, we have a great core of players, we just need a QB. Stop defending Joke, It is the same team and we are 2-4. Joke has 4tds to 13ints and a lost fumble. It is time to make the change plain and simple. Joke is over and done with, Matt Moore might be bad but at least he will learn from his mistakes....or I hope so. Joke is finished, nothing embarrassing about that, it happens, has happened to the best of them. Not everybody can be Pharve and just keep going and going and going...

    • Thielen was a "dawg" like Dan Morgan likes to say. And they replaced him with puppies.  The analytics are probably saying this is more targets for younger receivers they are hoping to develop, specifically the first round pick from 2025. The eye test is going to show a very inexperienced group of WRs that are going to have some serious growing pains, for a 3rd year QB who has not yet proven to be the guy going forward.  It's crazy how in the literal first game of his NFL career, Cam Newton showed everyone he was a star QB and there was never any doubt about that. It almost didn't even matter who was around him, although he definitely had a serious lack of talent at WR for most of his career. Bryce is going into his third season and there is still a ton of doubt, and who is around him is seen as crucial for him to have success. I don't like it.
    • Everyone says AT was old and slow but the one thing he could do consistently was get separation. That takes skill and it's been a huge issue in our WR for years. And while Moore may be a great locker room guy and our WR coach may be a 12 year vet, he's not playing in the game. Vets like AT do what they do because they can see things others don't and exploit it. The DB interview I mentioned before was with Stephon Gilmore after his DPOY season. He was pulling the younger DBs aside showing them things you wouldn't even think you'd be able to tell from the way the receiver was standing.  Seeing what a DB or LB is biting on in game that can give you that half step advantage is huge and we don't have that experience in our WR group right now and I think it could end up hurting us. None of our receivers have lined up against NFL corners successfully on a regular basis. Having someone that can walk over and give you a tip to get a half yard separation can be a difference maker.
    • We only fielded about 4 NFL calibre players on that unit last year.
